I really, really, really, really, really don't want to go to work today! The boss is gearing up for his business review which means that he's going pretty much nuts. And as his "assistant" he'll be bugging me to do all this "stuff" and acting all spastic. I'd much rather stay home today with the cats and putter around the house getting ready for our vacation. I've got a Johnny Depp movie that I could watch before the kid gets home from school. I might even bake some cookies. You just never can tell. It's rainy today anyway. WHY CAN'T I STAY HOME?!?!?

If you could have today off how would you spend it? Inquiring minds want to know. . .

Awww. By all means stay home.
I grant you permission. Call your boss and say "beth said I didn't have to" and he'll be totally fine with it.

As for me... today I am painting my bedroom. Its a rainyday here as well and hubby had to return his rental car so we are sharing MY car until he buys a truck from a local guy (who is gone on vacation until tomorrow) and we're waiting on the insurance check to come in too. Grrrrrr. Thank God I bought the paint yesterday.

I do have the day off....the whole week as a matter of fact.

Today is devoted to getting my hair cut, and perhaps some cleaning.

hooray for Spring Break. One of the small perks to being a teacher.

Although I am busier than I could've imagined!! Today is devoted to cleaning, gyming, grocery shopping, and cooking. My boyfriend's parents are coming over for dinner tonight *gulp*. They want to meet Lilly.

Hmmm. How good are you at faking a cough?

If I had today off, I'd be playing my Sims 2 game that finally arrived yesterday and cuddling with Cosette while she recuperates!!!

I agree, its a great day for staying at home today here too. We've got a strong chance of severe weather, so I packed up all the kitties and brought them to work with me where I know they're safer! At least I can get a kitty cuddle today!

Your plan definitely sounds much nicer than having to go to work!! Boo on responsibilities!!!

Today I have a full day of classes and the like. I have to leave for Child Pathology in about 10 minutes, then I teach a Hardbodies class at the gym at 1230, then I'll come back to my apt for a quick lunch, and end up back at school for my 3pm Cognitive Psych class. Following that I'll get to spend the evening with Brendan.
He finally doesn't have to work! HOORAY! However, I would much rather stay home and head to the pool to go tan today! It looks to be nice and sunny and already at 72F according to AOL. Besides, there's much playing with Waffle that needs to be done!!! Oh well...at least there's only 5 weeks left of this semester!

Days like the one you're talking about usually go fast. I know it seems like it will be hard, but it'll fly by, trust me. I've had plenty of those lately.

I had the day of last Friday, everyone in my office did because it was "The Day After St. Patrick's Day" and we were all *ahem* hungover.

This past Friday it was so gorgeous outside. I got up & spent quality time with a pot of coffee & some Tylenol while my lovely kitties purred on me, puttered around my house, then got out & spent time outside. Then I rented some movies & plopped down on the sofa to ride out the hangover for the evening.

If it had been rainy, cold & gross out last Friday; I'd have stayed in bed with my cats THE ENTIRE DAY & gone out after dark to rent them movies. I had no reason to go anywhere but the only reason I did was cuz Cincinnati had a pretty sunny day.

Thanks, but I came in anyway. Boss-man isn't here yet. Maybe he slept in.
What color are you painting your bedroom. We painted ours blue in the fall.

Wish I could do that. The health department would probably frown, though. My office is in the basement of the McDonald's Restaurant! This is where I found Mac as a small, small kitten one night. You can click on his name in my signature to read all about it!

I've got to quit playing around and start doing something constructive. Must look busy when "you-know-who" arrives!!

I making cranberry meatballs (sort of like sweet and sour meatballs...you use chili sauce and cranberry sauce as the sauce for the meatballs). I think I am going to cook some rice and veggies to go with it. yum!
