Hi - I only joined this forum a few days ago - introducing myself as being owned by Tiger, Tabitha and Zeus (in order of age).

It is with heavy heart and watery eyes that I have to tell you that this morning (9am - 22/03/05) Tiger passed away. I had to take her to the Vet as she was extremely ill and he said that her time had come and that the kindest thing I could do was to let her go with peace and dignity. So I did.

We will bring her home and bury her in her favourite sunning spot in the garden and in Spring (I live in Australia) I will plant a tree for her.

My other two cats, by their behaviour this morning, when I took Tiger make me feel that they knew she wouldn't be coming home.

Tiger was a wonderful cat - at first she was an "only" cat but she accepted my adoption of not one but two others over her lifetime. All three got on very well.

Thanks for your warm welcome to the site and thanks also for letting rabbit on like this about Tiger's passing.

When I 'm feeling a little better I will be back to chat again. I am still a beginner at computer communication so please bear with me.

Hopefully I post this once.
Tiger, Tiger burning bright....

You are right that your other cats understand and feel the loss. It is helpful for them (and for you) if you can take each cat on your lap one by one and just tell them what has happened. I know it sounds wacky, but I also know from experience that it works to help them understand what has happened to their friend.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, it is never easy, whether you are prepared for it or not-

its never easy to loose a loved one and know that you are all in our thoughts during this time

what a lovely idea to plant a tree for Tiger during Spring. Tigers tree

Tiger will meet up with so many TCS kitties at the Rainbow Bridge and I just know that they will look after him
Please know that Tiger is no longer in any pain whatsoever, he is all healthy again and is chasing all the butterflies and mice at the bridge. He will watch over you until he sees you again.

If you want to talk please send me a message - we thankfully are on the same timezone so I am always here if you want someone to listen

RIP sweet angel Tiger

I'm so sorry to hear about Tiger... it's a tough decision to have to make - we've all been there. I hope my Charley is there to meet your Tiger and show her around the RB.

The tree is a beautiful idea. RIP Tiger.

You are in my thoughts.

So sorry to hear that you lost Tiger. The decision to PTS a treasured friend is never easy, but when you chose to end the suffering of your friend you proved how much you truly DO love her because now she is free and happy at the bridge, while you are still here suffering the heartbreak of losing her. She will be waiting for you at the bridge for the day when you will be reunited with her. You are in my thoughts as you experience this sad and difficult time. Hugs.

Hi, I am Bobbie, and I am happy that you are here. We are all here for you if you need to talk.
I am sure it is sad for you now. I pray for your other kitties as well, that they will comfort you and let you comfort them.
