Okay, this new thread might shake things up at first, but people weren't seeing the Paws and Reflect sticky, so we've decided to make a new thread each week. That way the thread won't get too long. Another benefit is that I can add polls that are very specific to each particular movie week that can keep us all aware of when or even what movie we watch.

This week's picks are Gone With the Wind (suggested by everyone) and American Graffiti (Deb25's pick) However, some people may not have had enough warning for Gone With the Wind because it is so long. Therefore, I will be following up this opening thread by attaching a poll. If more people want to watch Casablanca this week instead, they can vote for that and we will watch Gone With the Wind next week. Otherwise, we're sticking with GWTW. This poll I'm making up will have multiple choice and will sort of be like two polls in one, so don't forget that you can make more than one selection.

Here's the old Paws and Reflect thread. Nobody was really seeing it, but if you think you might miss the weekly thread in the lounge when it gets made you can always subscribe to the Paws and Reflect sticky. I will update it with a link to the new lounge thread? -sound confusing? Don't worry. It will work out fine.

Movie Picks Announcement in Paws and Reflect
NOTE: This sticky also explains how the movies are picked each week.

The poll will magically appear at the top of this thread in a few minutes after I post this.

We can always defer my pick until next week. Seems as though everyone is into GWTW. Not a problem. "Tomorrow is another day." (Did I say that?)

Well, I doubt anyone (for this week anyway) is really going to watch anything on Tuesday or Wednesday, so I'm prolonging the final announcement for a two day poll.

(in my worst infommercial voice) Act now while supplies last!!! (Certain restrictions may apply depending on the laws in your state. See your local moderator for details.)

Why Ryan keeps making these polls:

To have a new movie thread every week, so he can use his favorite â„¢ in there. How about a Â[emoji]174[/emoji] and a Â[emoji]169[/emoji], too?

The suspense is too much for me. I am off to change my oil and eat something cheese-flavored.

That's fine Ari.
Just a reminder to everyone, you don't have to watch both movies to participate.

I would, but the trademark hasn't been registered in the database yet

So after the last poll we voted to make one big announcement thread... and now we're making a new thread each week? So what's the point of a poll?

Especially if it is cheese flavored popcorn. This is what I'll be having this weekend. It's flavored in the bag, but then you also get a packet of cheese to squeeze onto the hot popcorn as it comes out of the microwave.

Is that Orville Redenbacher stuff as good as the pre-popped brands? Off I go to the grocery store.

Hmmmm... well there are some extremely good pre-popped brands such as Smartfood (white cheddar) and Old Dutch cheese flavored, so it's not worlds above those, but I'm glad I tried it. The squeeze cheese isn't a big packet, but overall it's just good enough to consider buying again.
