I am scared to death of roaches, lizzards and snakes!
I once broke my arm trying to get away from a raoch!

I'm also scared of "ugly"bugs such as stinkbugs but like ladybugs.

I am soooo afraid of spiders!!!!

I cower on anything away from it and cry and hyperventalate and scream. I have to call my boyfriend to come kill it. The sad thing is my kitten, Limerick is scared of them too!!! I think he sees how I react to the spider and takes his cues from me.

Now what were the odds of her being a Buddhist Jenny? Oh well, I'm proud of you at least. I certainly couldn't have done it!!!

Seems like a lot of us are terrified of bugs or spiders. I really hate when people say things like, "Oh it's just a stupid spider. It's just as scared of you as your are of it, and it's not going to hurt you!!" I just get so annoyed at that because people don't understand that I don't THINK it's going to hurt me, I think that if it touched me I would die from the sheer GROSSNESS of the nasty little thing!!!

I'm afraid of creepy crawlies in general. Especially big, black spiders. Though my dad grew up in Australia and had interesting spider stories. Yuck!

Also, I'm scared of swimming in open waters (lake, etc.), though I'm okay boating or canoeing (except when there are spiders on board!). Seeing a huge dock spider while paddling in the middle of a lake is NOT good!

Mostley anything that stings, if it gets on me I will come out of my clothes to, and I don't think it would matter who was there or where I am. Also SNAKES and the ocean SHARKS, yuk and heights, rides, I like Hope think thats enough, because I could go on lol lol

Don't worry, nothing can sound dumb in this thread since it's all about irrational fears!!

I'm afraid of:
Fire (I don't even like lit candles!)
Deep water (I can't swim)
Bees or anything that stings!

The hardest place to get up and speak, I think, is in front of a drama class. My god, those people critique EVERYTHING you do/say/don't do/don't say. I should know, I am a former drama student hehehe

I am in my 2nd speech class for college, and it is not really a big deal for me because I know that the people in my class could NOT care less about me. They are all waiting for the clock to say it's time to go.

Hello, Are you ME?! hahaha Well, I am not afraid of deep water... but I am TERRIFIED of fire... I totally overreact to even the slightest smokey smell, even if I imagined it (this happens a lot as I live in an apt complex where some apts have fireplaces). I run away from anything that might sting me. That whole "leave it alone" thing is BS! I got stung when I was a kid...all I was doing was playing Barbies outside and BZZZZZZT.. &^@#!!!!! I am a nanny... you can see how fun warm weather is for me....

Also, I have a huuuuge fear of being trapped. I avoid elevators a lot because I'm afraid the doors will never open again (this changed when I moved to college and lived 9823432 flights up and I'm too out of shape for even 3 flights of stairs... which is sad because I once climbed from the first to the ELEVENTH floor at the hospital Mom use to work at). Once I was at some posh after-show party (with The Used) at a bar... and the bathrooms were actually not in the bar, but in the offices behind the bar. You had to go out the door, then up a couple floors to the bathroom. I rode up the elevator with some people, but I was the last one out and decided to take the stairs back down cause I just couldnt handle the elevator alone. BAD CHOICE. The doors were all locked... I ran around and around and around and up and down and up and down and nearly passed out... and I didn't have stupid cell phone service, of course. I eventually found a door, but my GOD hello unsafe much!?!?!

I've been bitten a few times by spiders, usually when turning on lightswitches in my basement. Now I can't even be in the same room with one. Mom even says I have a particular scream that I only use for spiders. She knows to grab a shoe before she comes running.

My other fear, and it's completely unfounded, is of men. I'm terrified of my neighbors, and my friend's dads, the people my mom works with, and even my own uncle. As far as I know, nothing has every happened in my life to make me feel this way, but I can't shake it. It's even starting to happen when I'm around ANY male. I just start getting the "fight or flight" response. It's one of the reasons I hate going down on campus, because most of the people in my class and most of the professors are male. Thankfully, it's all women at work, and at the shelter, and I just live with my mom. But... yeah.

I think I am scard of spiders until I see a snake!!!

Snacks total edrenaline rush. First date with my wife and we run across a couple of snakes. Did a snake dance. Don't think the two snakes were that while about us either.
