Welcome to all the newbies!!!!

I don't know if I can run tonight-I was moving my laundry basket and my iron fell point 1st on my 2nd/3rd toe of my left foot. It started turning purple in 20 minutes!! I have to wear my Birkenstocks (lovely) today as other shoes hurt. No swelling though. Just great!!! I'll see how my foot feels when I get home from work tonite.

I am exhausted and have PMS and am cranky and irritable and feeling lazy and can't be bothered doing anything except crawling into bed to sleep for six hours.

HELP!!!!!!!
Aw. Its hard enough to begin a workout program and now you're exgausted!
Sometimes working out can energize you though. I hope it works that way for you! If not, tomorrow is a brand new day! Welcome to the workout thread!

I have about 20 pounds to lose and would like to lose at least 10 by the summer.

So today I picked up some free weights and some toning bands. I figure if I integrate strength training with walking an hour every day, it should do the trick. I used to work out 3-4 times a week, but that was YEARS ago... And of course, Lean Cuisine is already my best friend!

I'll be looking forward to lots of encouragement from y'all!
Welcome to the workout thread!
Strength training and cardio are a great combo! Great for your heart and your bones! Way to go!

OW!!!
It hurts just thinking about that! R-I-C-E: Rest, ice, compression, elevation. You really should stay off of it and let it heal.

Do you stretch you back out when you are done?? I have a big arch in my lower back(If I'm laying on my back I can slid my hand under my lowerback without touching it)
I think that is why my back gets sore.
My 2nd toe hurts worse that my 3rd toe-its that nagging achy pain. I'll take some aspirin later if it bothers me too much!!

Jenn and Sara, WELCOME TO THE THREAD!!!!

Glad y'all could join us

Sarah, as far as how you're feeling-tired, PMS-y, cranky- that is all the MORE reason to work out! Ask any of us here- we've all had those days when a workout was the LAST thing we wanted, but we pushed ourselves to go and felt SO much better afterwards! Stick with us!

Jenn, it sounds like you are on an awesome track to losing weight
There are some really good French bread pizzas by Healthy Choice you can look at too. Very filling and only about 350 calories!!!
Gail- OUCH!
I hope your toes are feeling better VERY soon!
By all means, STAY OFF YOUR FEET!!!!

Welcome to you new workout buddies!
I have a bust night but I am gonna find time to fit in the workout even if a short one.

On those days that I find myself I most tired I try to tell myself "ok I'll just do a really short 15min. workout, that's better than nothing". Usually once I get started and the 15 min are over I feel much better and keep going for a complete 30 or 40 minutes total.

I felt like Scott Savol's ugly butt after work (in other words, real bad) but I pushed myself to work out and I am so glad I did! There, my daily dose of inspiration, dished out as only I can

Let Scott Savol's ugly mug be your inspiration....yeah, I don't really know what that means either!

My roomie and I went to another spin class and got an EXTRA workout because the air conditioning in the spin room was out! It's been going on and off lately and they can't seem to figure out what the problem is.

Hopefully I'll be finding out tomorrow what classes I'll be teaching over summer. I'm excited to find out. It's always nice to have a fresh schedule (even though I almost always teach Hardbodies and Body Pump each semester)!

Oh God....a gym without air conditioning feels like Hades!!! Got my fingers crossed that you get a bit more variety in your classes this summer

Was it now? That's interesting. We've had it at UCF for a year and a half now and I've taught it for a year. I love that class because the body bars are so great to use. It's a tiny class because people don't know what it is, and I'm constantly having to explain to people about it and how it centers around the body bars. Love it though!

Luckily it's only the spin room air that's been going out!Our gym is so huge that there's separate air in just about every different area!
