)

Wish me luck on my walk!
Okay, so I only walked for 7 out of 10 songs. 25 minutes. That's respectable for someone who is primarily sedentary. A few things: It was great. I feel so awake now! I am about 3 blocks from the end of the city, and if you follow my road, it goes on a windy, wooded road past the water treatment plant (no not sewage). Anyway, the walk was gorgeous, and the water treatment plant is awesome! The employees do a TNR program for bunnies there and so lots of people dump their bunnies there, knowing they will be well taken care of. (I am pretty sure they even round up the tamer ones and foster them out.) Anywho... its always sad to see stray animals, but today I saw two gorgeous bunnies, an all black tame one that was like 6 inches from me and a more skittish, but still rather tame brown one. I walked my road until it merged with a larger, busier road. I even walked up a fairly large hill!

And the best part, The SURPRISING part, I didn't feel miserable!! I was a bit winded, but I wasn't heaving and gasping for air!

Kelly, welcome to the thread!
Wow, between you and Katherine, we have some Cardio Queens around here!!!
Amber and Gail, I'm so glad you two have been visiting us more and more and are doing so well with your workouts!
Same goes for you Marge!!!

Katherine, GOOD LUCK with leading the crowd. Think of it this way- if things EVER went sour with you and Brendan (ha, like that'd happen!) you'll probably get a few marriage proposals out of that gig from crazy frat boys!!!
Sorry I've missed the past almost day on this thread- work's been nuts. But I did work out yesterday and did 3 laps around the circuit instead of 2. What can I say? I had a lot of stress to release!
I have my gym clothes in a bad sitting next to me, but I feel so run down that I may skip today. Even if I do, I'm still going tomorrow (have to go to a monthly weigh-in and have measurements taken) and that'll be my 3 for the week.
Anywho, keep up the GREAT work y'all!

I teach a couple of different strengthening classes: Hardbodies and Body Pump. They are both full body strengthening but Body Pump is (IMO) more difficult than Hardbodies (hence the small classes I always have w/ Body Pump). I've also taught Abs, Buns, and Thighs and once taught a Flexibility Training class. I was supposed to teach a Beginners Step class this semester, but that didn't work out. I love teaching them, though by the middle of the semester I feel kind of bored with it. Generally by the end I'm back to really having a good time. I'm very talkative in my classes and just try to make everyone feel like they can do it, even when I can tell they think they can't.

I have actually never taken a dance aerobics class, though we do have a hip-hop class at our gym. The last dance thing I did was a ballet recital last summer, but unfortunately I haven't had the money to participate in any dance this year. It really makes me sad actually because it's what I love to do more than anything. Stupid finances always getting in the way of the important things!!! I randomly dance in the living room for Brendan though, so I guess that counts for something!

Dance aerobics sounds so fun though!! I'd love to be able to check a class like that out!!!

Of me? Eeee...I dunno! Maybe if I could find a good one from when I was on the dance team so that way no one would know which one I actually was, then I would do it. lol. If you mean just dance in general though, I'm sure I could find some of those!

You're silly you don't sound weird at all. I'm the same way, I always want to see pics of everyone! I'm just a picture kind of girl, whether I know the person or not! I'll have to look to see what I can find. There's a good one from one of my yearbooks back in high school that I'll try to scan and put in here.

lol! You're too cute!! Feel free to ask me anything anytime...if I have an answer I'll always tell you (even if it may seem like it would embarrass me because chances are, it won't
) But yeah, I'll put some dance pics on photobucket some time this weekend and let you know when you can view them.

hey everyone, for somereason I didn't get my updates to this thread all day, and i missed alot!!!

First, with my workouts...yesterday was SUCH A pretty day brendan and I decided to go walking for about 30 min around a pond by our apartment instead of the gym. On our walk we found the prettiest cat wandering around by the pond looking at the ducks. The kitty had a collar and there were plenty of houses around so I hope she belonged to someone and was not lost.

Today I went to the gym and did 35 min on the stair mill again.

Its been a pretty good workout for me.

Now to catch up with everyone else...

Welcome Kelly, its great to have another person join in with in!!!

Katherine, I have heard that Body Pump classes are AWESOME. I had a friend in college who raved about them. But they are not offered at my gym, so I have not had a chance to try one out as of yet.

Beth, sounds like the healthy eating is going well. I need to follow your example!!

To everyone else, Have a great weekend, TGIF!!

Glad to hear things have been going well Beryl! Your walk with Brendan sounds lovely. Funny how I can't STOP picturing my Brendan everytime you talk about yours.
Anyways, it sounds like you two had a very nice time and got some good exercise as well!!!

I love my Body Pump class!! The class size is ALWAYS so small so I'm always in fear that they'll end up cutting back on that particular class each new semester when the new schedules come out, but luckily our coordinator understands that newer styles of classes take some time to catch on if it's not super trendy like Spinning was. It is SUCH a great class though. You should definitely check one out if you ever get the opportunity.

Ooooo, you'll do well, Amy. Besides that, when they ring the bell (because you lost weight or inches) everyone will "Woo Hoo" and it will get you all amped up!

I'm going. 4th time this week!!!
