Oh my goodness!!! 100 cal packs of teddy grams?!?! That is some VERY exciting news!! I was about to head out to the grocery store so I will HAVE to check on that!

Awesome work everyone keeping up with your workouts. You all rock!

That's funny you mention that about Brendan Amy because when I first started teaching he felt the need to point the fact that I was an instructor out to everyone he ever met/came in contact with/whatever! Boys, they're so predictable I swear!!
: I did appreciate the fact that he was so proud of me though.

I was so excited when I got to the gym to teach today because one of my FAVORITE instructors ever burned me a couple of his CDs and they were waiting for me in the instructor binder! His name is Jonathon and I (along with many other female instructors) LOVE him. He is so sweet and funny. He's just the greatest. Have I mentioned yet that he has 2% body fat?!?! I actually don't love him because of his looks though, it's really more his personality. Besides, Brendan knows how much I love him and he certainly isn't worried. This should help explain why: he calls all of his female friends "poodle" (ahem...is that a good enough clue?). It's adorable when he says it. I just
him for his downright sweetness!

Amy I hope your workout goes great today! Work out all of your frustrations girl!!!!

KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!

hey everyone! Glad to see everyone so motivated!! Yesterday I did a marathon 60 min. of cardio (35 min on the stair mill and 25 on the bike), then today I had a 60 min lifting session with my trainer.

Ugh, I am beat!!

Amy, to answer your question from early, I find that stress really messes with my motivation to work out. When things start piling one after the other, usually the first thing to go for me is my trip to the gym...

Welcome AMBER & JESS

Bad on posting again. Ate out Chinese friday nite....
But we walked Sat morning-2.4 miles. I proceeded to do about 3-4 hrs shrub/tree pruning and beginning garden cleanup. That was way too much
Had to relax in whirlpool tub early evening and went to sleep very early. Mom & Dad came over Sunday grilled out and mom helped me clean some more then we walked only about 1.2 miles Sunday nite.
I'm going to work up to yard work as I did 1 hr last nite and then ran/walked my 2.5 miles (about 35 minutes). Tonite I will add 15 minutes of yard work. And then still walk/run I can go up to 2.5 miles this week.
About the yard out-I'm an AVID gardener and every spring I allow 40 hrs for pruning and cleaning up veggie garden and all (14) of my flower beds.
But last yr I determined if I allocate only a certain amount of time each day-I'm more efficient in this hugmungous task!!

So keep up the good work everyone!!!!!!!!!

i am still on the fence about the gym this evening for me. Brendan and I might go to the gym and then go out for ice cream (this is the first real warm day of spring). But the ice cream kinda negates the workout. lol.
we'll see. I am also pretty tired, so this might also turn into a stay in and veg on the couch night too.

I did my yoga class last night, and I think I will do the nordic track tonight. I got up to 20 minutes last week so hope I can do that or surpass.

I really like yoga, I wish I had started this years ago.

Well, I've had a busy week so far and have actually had to work
- haven't posted as much as I've wanted. Anyway, I worked out Mon & Tue at Curves and plan on going tonight. That will be my 3. IF I can fit it in, I'll work out Fri too, but thats a maybe. We're going away for the weekend and I need to go to the laundrymat on Fri after work (I'm leaving a little early), so we'll see.

I'm just now joining the workout thread!! I only do cardio, I run 5 miles 4 times a week. It's been really tough this past week and a half. We're moving and I've been painting and cleaning the new place and packing the old place up so I've been pretty pooped at the end of the day. With bikini season coming up, I can't afford to get lazy now. I'm still working off Christmas dinner! lol!! Seriously, I gain about 10 pounds every winter b/c I hate running inside on the treadmill. I much prefer running outside (as long as no dogs chase me
)

Anyway, I am gonna stop being lazy and get my butt out and RUN from here on out.

So far this week I taught my Hardbodies class on Tuesday and Brendan and I went and did some cardio yesterday. Today I'm teaching my other Hardbodies class and then I'll be teaching 3 classes tomorrow (subbing for 2). I talked to the woman organizing Relay for Life and it turns out I'm going to have to be on a STAGE leading the warm-up. EEK. I'm going to need lots of positive vibes for my Saturday morning warm-up for this thing, it's making me terribly nervous!!!

Oh that sucks that you have to lead the warm-up. I can't even STAND in front of a crowd much less instruct a warm-up. I'm sure you'll do fine, though. You're a dancer, right? I guess you're used to performing in front of people (tho it's a little different when you're all alone). Maybe you can have someone up there with you to help lead the warm-up.

You would rather work out inside? I guess I just like the fresh air and sunshine. If I work out inside, I just end up watching TV and not really concentrating on running. Also, you can always run a different route. The treadmill just bores me. My husband is like you, he always wants to do his workout indoors. I have to twist his arm to get him to run outside with me.

Yeah I've performed tons of times in dances with other people and alone, and I'm very used to teaching group exercise classes. The differences that make this so much more terrifying for me are that unlike dance, I have to put my neck on the line by actually talking through it and making sure everyone's doing the proper thing, and what makes it different from a normal group ex. class is that I'm on a stage and there's hundreds of people instead of 40 or below. That's what really has me so nervous!! And the thing is, when I told my coordinator that I would do it I had expected other instructors to agree to do it as well. Thanks to it being at 7am though no one else did. I'm just scared of looking like an idiot! I've been practicing it in my head a lot though and comforting myself by saying "Well, if you look like an idiot, at least it's only for half an hour!"

Quick update...
I slacked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I must admit. But I am making up for it by getting ready now to go walking/jogging. My goal is to walk/jog through my entire Jimmy Eat World CD. (I'm skipping class
)

Additionally, I talked to my friend Megan last night, and once school is out and our lives aren't so hectic, we are having workout dates. Every Tuesday and Thursday night at 6:30. We are going to walk/run or bike ride. And on the days its rainy, she has a pilates tape for us to try, and I have an exercise ball (which I have no clue as of yet how to use). So that will hopefully keep us both motivated!

Wish me luck on my walk!

They wouldn't have asked you if they weren't confident you would do well. They picked the best example they could to "lead the pack!" You are going to be FANTASTIC!!! Enjoy it!!!
