Good heavens, I don't know how I missed this post, but please accept my apologies for not replying until now ...

At 6 weeks old, it is pretty normal for kittens to be working out the pecking order - they hiss, spit, growl and swat at each other much like human toddlers will ... if this one is found to be playing with that one's favorite toy, woe be unto the fool. *smile* The little males can be quite aggressive when playing, or when you put down the food bowls. I have seen them physically move another kitten right off the bowl! It sounds like normal kitten behavior to me.

But, the ones that do hiss and growl at you - do they ever come into your lap or want affection from you? If they don't, they you are going to have to start handling those kittens a lot more frequently in order to better socialize them. Just pick em up, love on em, give em treats and playtime one on one. They'll be fine.

Hope this helps and again, sorry for the lengthy delay in responding!
