My fave band of all time is Dishwalla. They had a song out in the mid-90's called "Counting Blue Cars". Made them an official one-hit wonder. What I don't think people realize is that since then their music has evolved to almost the point of pure beauty. I guess they can be classified as alternative, but it just seems like it's a good combo of a lot of different influences.

I also have to thank my best friend for reminding me that it was released on Tuesday... Cause I completely forgot until she gave me the heads up tonight in an e-mail. (And I was the one who pointed it out to her last month when the new album was coming out. heh.) I have to admit I downloaded it, just for tonight because I can't wait, and am going to buy it tomorrow.

One of the things I love most about the band is that for this album and the last one, they previewed every song on the album. This time it's only about a minute and a half of each song, but it's still pretty cool.

If you're looking for good music, you might want to check it out: http://www.dishwalla.com/vlp/

I love Dishwalla!!! I have their album opaline...and I love it!! It has the song somewhere in the middle...they have such a wonderful sound...sigh
Every little thing is another of my favorites on that cd. And I dont think they are a one hit wonder. Opaline is a cd that will stay in my truck cd player for weeks, and play over and over and over again...and I never get sick of it....If you go to bestbuy.com and search dishwalla, opaline, you can hear a 0:30 second sample of each song...Every Little Thing is my favorite...I played that at my wedding...sigh again...

That would have made a wonderful wedding song, Diane!

After giving it a good listening, Opaline still blows the new album out of the water. "Home" still gives me the chills whenever I listen to it.

I only listened to a few of the songs that you sent the link to because I was at work, and had to keep running up...but what I heard was still pretty good. Home is a good song...a lot of their songs give me chills. I think they are great band...and I dont think they get the credit they deserve.
