Thank you all again for keeping up with me!! No new news to report unfortunately. I took my trap back home as I was catching nothing but twigs from school kids up there and the food was not eaten. I have kept up with video taping. The black kitty that I trapped twice and scared to death, is back and eating again. I'm glad as long as cats keep coming because that shows it's a desirable location for food. The racoons were getting to it too though so i put it up on a table now out back behind my house near the woods. None of the shelters or vets have seen a cat like mine in the past month. I still have a couple more signs to hang and am going to pass out the "still missing" flyers this weekend around the 1 mile radius from my house. It's exausting having a missing pet, but i'm still missing her as much now (if not more) as the day she left and still wont' give up.
On a happier note- on the news last night I heard about a couple from (Ohio I think?) who got in a car accident in Florida and their dog was with them and bolted into the woods after the accident. They coudn't find him and of course had to go back home to Ohio and leave him there. They just got a phone call from someone from jacksonville who found the dog alive and well , read his tags on his collar and called the owners. He's home safe now! (he had been hit by a car in his travels but is ok).
I only wish my kitty had a collar or a microchip =(. On a not so great topic, there was a rabid coyote attack on a child in a town about 7 miles from me. The girl is okay, but I guess those coyotes are out there (although I have never seen one).
Any ideas of what to try next? Or just keep doing what I'm doing and hoping?
