Since we got Oz last July, he's been very independant, sleeping away from us, and often in another room. We've been treated like a hotel. (but we don't mind one bit
)

He'd occasionally come to my lap, but for no more than a couple on minutes. But the past two evenings, he's come and slept on my lap for between half an hour to an hour.

It's amazing, I know my daughter always told me it could just take time, her two rescue cats have taken one to two years to start coming on her lap, but I couldn't imagine him being comfy with us.

The only thing now is that with him weighing 14lb my legs start aching 'cause I don't want to move in case it scares him away.

It certainly sounds like it Tricia!. Rosie will sleep on my lap now and again when it suits her, but Sophie will be there on you before you can even find yourself comfortable
