A bit of both! High school was an AMAZING time for me and I had a BLAST, but knowing that I would be starting college in a few months was also very exciting. So I remember crying as I left school on the last day but being stoked for the future!
Makes one feel kind of bipolar!

Both sad and happy.

Senior Prom was especially sublime. It was such a fun, happy night, but we knew we'd all part ways soon after at graduation.

Graduation itself was a very happy event. A milestone reached. But again said cuz you lose touch with all your friends from high school. Funny, you try like heck to get out of school so you can go on with a 'real life'... then when you're in this real life, all you want to do is go back to school so you can goof off and have fun with friends.

Or so, at least, that's how I see it. I tell my daughter every day I wish we could trade spaces for just a day, like that movie Freaky Friday!

I hated high school when I was in it but on graduation day, I was kinda sad and scared.

Now, 10 yrs later, I look back and wish I could do it again! No resposiblities, no worries, no bills.....those were the good ol' days!

Happy as all get-out! My best high school friend and I were going to be roommates in college, so all I could think about were the wild times ahead. In hindsight, that was the right way to feel
College blew high school out of the water!

Can I even remember that far back? Yeah, I think so. I was neither especially happy nor especially sad. I was glad to be done and moving on, but that's about all.

Glad - because I finally felt like an "adult", but wasn't faced with having to work for a living yet, because I was starting college in September.

I was very happy, then again I didn't like most of the people in my class. Looking back though, it was a good time in life, seeing my friends everyday and not having to worry about living expenses but I don't think I'd want to do it over.

I was HAPPY. I didn't go to a normal high school I had independant study. I only went to school an hour a week but had 20 hrs of homework a week. You were only required to take one subject at a time and an entire years worth of work would be done in 8 weeks. Most people continued without a summer break but I usually did 2-3 subjects at a time so I was ahead of schedule and so I took my summers off. I also worked 30+ hours a week while in school. I graduated early and was very happy about that. That's not for everyone but it was perfect for me.

SO Happy! I couldn't wait to get out of that place...I just could not deal with the drama or the cliques. That being said...lately I have been looking back at my HS years and wishing I had enjoyed them more for what they were; I am sad I didn't do more...
