Yahoo Mail?

Does anyone know if there is a way to close a free Yahoo mail account? I'm trying to figure this out for a friend of my niece. I can't figure out if there is a way to cancel the email thing without canceling everything altogether. Anyone know or have any experience with it?

Sign in to your Yahoo! Mail account.
Click "Mail Upgrades" in the upper-right corner of the navigation bar.
Click the "Change Billing Options" link below the service you would like to cancel.
Click the "Cancel Service" link on the left side.
Confirm your cancellation by clicking the "Cancel My Service" button.
