European Members - Help w/Patio Umbrella?

My boss has these beautiful white patio umbrellas and cannot recall where they were purchased. So I'm here at the office looking all over the world trying to find them (Google, international designers, etc, etc). I usually can find anything, but they have no receipt. The tag on the inside of the fabric of the umbrella reads: Vainscotte-Paris.

I looked in the Paris phone book, nothing. They purchased them only a year ago. They are white, square, large bistro umbrellas with scalloped edges all around and then another tier on top with scalloped edges. Very simple and pretty.

I'm posting just in case somebody across the Atlantic knows of them!

Not these. There lots of stores that carry bistro umbrellas but they want THESE. You'd have to understand where I work. 'nuff said.

we get lots of those over here Eddie - they're not restricted to one brand. I'll have a look around online and see if I can find that brand for you.

That would be great, Beth. It doesn't matter the cost. They'd be willing to get another one if the quality was the same as this "Vaniscotte". But see if that specific label rings a bell? Maybe other members will recognize it - after all, this is TCS and stranger things have happened!

I did a google on the French site - sometimes the entries are country specific. But nothing came up.

Then I googled just Vainscotte and there were loads of pages (in French LOL), but I don't know what they all are. To google the french site it's www.google.fr

This is the French search result http://www.google.fr/search?hl=fr&q=Vaniscotte&spell=1

I'll look through the pages and see if I find something.

I Googled the name, but didn't get any hits.

No, there's nothing on any search engines, believe me. I looked at this site, Jenny thanks! but it's not quite. I was seeing a lot of these too. If you can pciture a heavy, luxurious white canvas with scalloped trim all around the edges, like a fancy awning, and then the top tier has the same. We'll see what Beth checks in with - thanks ever so much!!!

E, my friend lives in Northern France, so if Beth doesn't have any luck let me know and i can speak to him!.

Arrgghh this is frustrating . I hate the thought of being beaten by an umbrella. I've been looking around but have drawn a blank so far.

Is there any more info Eddie or is that all there is?

Beaten by an umbrella. Beth, you're funny!
No, that is ALL I have. That's why I posted. I am going nuts ....this umbrella is very painful. I do have a reasonable boss, however, and if it's impossible to find then I will break it to them gently.

You might well laugh - it took me ages to remember the French for 'umbrella'!

There a large chain of stores that carry among other things an extensive line of patio furniture. My French is horrible. But if you have someone who writes fluent French the CORA website has a contact point. Their website is www.cora.fr. Good luck.
