I thought that all of you who are going through a stressful week ---and it's not even Wednesday, might enjoy a mental break. Here are our tulip fields north of Seattle. They're almost 6 weeks early this year. I posted them in the vacation thread and got such a great response, I wanted to share with everyone. Enjoy!

You know what? You CAN! After the harvest which supplies about 1/3 of the world's tulips to florists, they open the fields for picking. I wait until everyone has gone...I drive through at night, and then take all the leftovers in buckets. I have flowers in every room of my house for weeks. I talked to the local farmers who are fine with it, they like them to go to good use and are happy to share. This year, because of our sunny winter, should be a record crop.

Thanks for sharing those awesome photos! My husband lived in Seattle for 3 months. He said that it is very beautiful out there.
