My parents have a 10 year old female cat named Tigger. Well my father is battling cancer, and is now on hist second battery of Chemo, and what not. The Doctors say is is dangerous for my father for the cat to be around ( Dad's immune system is messed up from the chemo, etc ).

Mom wan't me to take the cat ( Tigger was actually mine for her first year ). The Problem is, I have three cats Mine ( Mercedes 13 YR OLD Female ), and My wife has Two ( Figaro F age 13, Luna F age 6 ). Our house is only 1300 sqaure feet, and there would be no way to take on another cat. I don't want her to go to a shelter were she might be put to sleep. She is not adoptable by families with small children ( she's got a bit of a mean streak, bu If you know her body language, you are safe ).

I don't want her put to sleep, I don't know what to do.

Does your area have a hospice association? They may find someone willing to help out, at least for your mother's sake. Bless you & your wife for providing homes for your other cats; you are so willing to share! The veterinarian may have a suggestion, too; sometimes they know of someone who's recently had a pet put down, who might welcome the cat to help fill an empty space. I'll keep Tigger in my thoughts & prayers. Please keep us posted on what you find out! Susan

Best wishes for both your father, the cat and the rest of your family. God bless.
