The message:
Cats needs help urgently! Help needed with colony in Broomall, PA. Cat foster care (short-term and long-term), permanent homes (in-door and barn homes needed). And assistance with trapping needed.
Broomall, Pennsylvania is located about 10 miles west of Philadelphia, PA.
Of this colony:
20 have been rescued, received veterinary care, and have gone into new homes so far. Around 10 are left. Cannot rescue more until they have somewhere to go (will be loosing one foster home this week).
Also: Several cats currently in foster care (not related to the colony in Broomall) also are in need of permanent homes.
I know this is a lot, but help would be appreciated in any capacity you can do. Please call Betsy directly at 610-649-6745.
Thank you!
P.S. Please feel free to forward this message on to other animal lovers who may be able to help.

Are the cats in serious jeopardy in their home colony? Barn homes are few and far between for adult feral cats, and the cats form such strong bonds with their home territories that it is almost always better to return them to their old outdoor home after spaying and neutering.

Even if they must be relocated (again, this has to be a last resort, not a first choice), or if they are friendly, they still need to be sterilized ASAP. Almost all of the females are likely to be pregnant now and if they are not spayed immediately, you will have 30 cats to deal with by next month instead of just 10. They can always be returned to their old home for the time being and relocated or placed in foster care later.
