My little queen Samona is due to have her kittens any time. She is a very pleasant kitty with sweet personality and gets along great with my pomeranians and tollerates my siamese. Today Samona has been total opposite
. I brought my poms in from outside and she attacked
them. They are scared to get off the couch right now. Even the Siamese is staying her distance. I tried to put Samona in the other room but she climbed (fat belly and all) over the gate. Do you think she might be going into labor? why would my beautiful angora be acting this way?

I would put her in a room by herself with a nesting box. If she is climbing over a baby gate then stretch it vertically in the opening to make it taller.

One of her nesting boxes (i have 2 just in case) is here beside my computer. She likes it more than the one where she can not see me. She wants to be at my feet. Her stomach is very tight and I can feel the outlines of the babies. I am going to put my boys (pomeranians) behind the gate to the bedroom and keep her here beside me in the living room. I will try and keep people posted.

Its been a few hours, Samona has been in and out of her nesting box about 6 times. She is currently in the box now but growls if the poms are in the room. Not sure if she is trying to go into labor or not but I am getting impatient. seems like she has been pregnant forever. I got her 3 weeks ago and the vet told me 1 - 2 more weeks but he was not sure due to no one knew when she was bred. any help anyone can give me with her I would appreciate she is so different than most of the other pregnancies I have went through with cats.

Keep your eye on her and keep your dogs away from her and the kitten-

Hope the rest of the delivery goes smoothly-

Yes I was going to tell you that if her stomach is tight and your can see lumps rising up that is actually her contracting so she is definately in labor-but I guess you figured that out when the kitten came

Ok I am starting to worry neither kitten has tried to nurse and Samona is getting ready to have another kitten any minute. Should I be worried? The little orange kitten is smaller than the white kitten.

Just keep the babies warm until Mommy can devote her attention to them - she will finish birthing then give everyone a nice, thorough bath and feeding. Has she licked or cleaned the first two at all yet?

Yes and she is resting although she seems to have some contractions still. I think maybe the orange kitten has found a nipple but not positive. It has been years since I had newborns in my house. Harley was the last and that was 6 years ago. I think Samona might have 2 more but not sure yet. like i said she is resting right now and not doing much of anything.

Good, then everything sounds as if it is going along smoothly - I am going to go and straighten up my kitchen, but I'll be back in about 20 minutes to check in here to make certain you are OK. Remember to breathe *smile*

I will be here till I know for a fact she is done. This is an awsome site where someone is on at all times to help out. I always wanted to be a vet and saved very many kittens lives but when they were older. Only a few of those kittens I saved from birth bottle feeding.

I think so also but my mother said 7 a friend said 6. The only dumb question I have if you have 4 kittens and 2 are born before midnight and 2 after when is their birthday considered?

So far we have:
White born 10:10 pm with black lightning strip on back of head
Orange born 10:40 pm with white legs and face
White born 12:16 am with black round spot on back of head

I want a pure white kitten or white with flame points lol
