1. If it was your birthday, and you could go shopping and buy yourself the perfect gift, where would you go and what would you get? Hmm...that would be either a new bike trainer, or a shopping spree at Land's End

2. What goal if any did you have this past week? Did you meet it? I started a new cycling program, so I wanted to make sure I followed my plan everyday...I did ok...I did miss one day of weights

3. Have you ever done a random act of kindness? Yes! I love to perform RAC and I do them all the time

8. What is your idea of a perfect date? Something outside...on a pretty day. Maybe a picnic at the beach, horseback riding...

9. Do you dance and sing in the shower? Ok, I sing, but I don't dance!

10. If you had the chance to be an astronaut, would you do it? Heck no! I can gardly fly in a plane!

11. What is your favorite family tradition? We do not have any "traditions" per se, but we always spend Christmas together, eat waaayy too much food, and watch "It's a Wondeful Life"

13. Did you catch lightening bugs/fire flies as a kid? No, I finally got to see lightning bugs for the first time this past summer!

2. What goal if any did you have this past week? Did you meet it? To walk a mile everyday on my lunch hour. Yes, I did meet it!

11. What is your favorite family tradition? THanksgiving at my moms

If it was your birthday, and you could go shopping and buy yourself the perfect gift, where would you go and what would you get? Oh no - I'm useless when anybody asks me what I want for my birthday. When I was in Paris we went to a shopping centre and hubby spotted the Swarovski shop and took me in there - he had a plan

. He knew if he asked me what I wanted I wouldn't know; so he let me wander around the shop and I'd looked at a couple of things. He said "if there was one thing you would really like to take away with you what would it be" We often ask hypothetical questions so i didn't think anything of it. When I pointed to a bracelet, he had it taken out of the display case and wrapped for me. I was astounded - I would never have asked for it

2. What goal if any did you have this past week? Did you meet it? To get some work done on my essay - I did some

3. Have you ever done a random act of kindness? Loads - usually for distressed students. I found one poor students in floods of tears in the ladies not long ago and talked to her through the cubicle door before taking her back to my office and helping her to sort her problems out. I can't stand to just leave people who need a bit of kindness.

4. Do you carry your own business cards? Only to conferences where we need to make academic contacts.

5. Do you type with two fingers or all 10? all 10 and no peeking at the keyboard.

6. Do you have a fax machine at home? No - I use a pc fax if I can ever set it up.

7. Do you prefer to have a small group of close friends or a large group of aquaintances? oh to have the choice! I don't really have any close friends apart from TCS

8. What is your idea of a perfect date? It would probably be a daytime date doing something interesting where you could find out how the other person ticks - going to a museum; picnics in the park that kind of thing.

9. Do you dance and sing in the shower? I can squawk as loud as the next person - but I usually save it for when I'm alone in the house

10. If you had the chance to be an astronaut, would you do it? NO - definitely not.

11. What is your favorite family tradition? Christmas Eve - everyone's finished work. We have a glass of Madeira and hubby and daughter bake mince pies. Then we settle down to some family time.

12. Do you buy toilet paper to match the color of your bathroom? Of course - if I'm going to face anything first thing in the morning it all has to be in harmony - mornings are bad enough as it is

13. Did you catch lightening bugs/fire flies as a kid? We don't have them!

I used to catch moths with my dad - he bred them.

14. What was your first job? I did some temporary work for a multinational energy company - I met hubby there

. I did various Admin jobs and learned to program computers.

16. Do you have sheers, shades or Venetian blinds on your windows? Ordinary curtains downstairs. Venetian blinds with sheers over the top in my bedroom and my study and ordinary cutains everywhere else.

18. Are most of your shoes high heels or flats? Medium height heels as I'm on my feet a lot when I'm lecturing.

2. What goal if any did you have this past week? Did you meet it? My goal was to finish our school's yearbook and have it shipped to the comapny for publishing, and yes - it was shipped on Wednesday!

3. Have you ever done a random act of kindness? Yes. I have not done many since college as I've gotten bogged down with work. But I love surprising people with little things and making their day a little better.

2. What goal if any did you have this past week? Did you meet it? Just goals about money, getting stuff in line & getting things under control... yeah I met it!

8. What is your idea of a perfect date? In the winter: go out for chili & then go ice skating. Or if it's all snowy outside, go do donuts in a parking lot somewhere & find a hill to sledride on. Summer: Watch a sunset while having a few drinks, go hear an outdoor band and/or hit a festival.

THEN I'm meeting up with same girlfriend, my guy-friend, and a group of her friends & my friends at an Irish pub within walking distance of HER bar.

Mama and her babies were under our deck and we would watch them at dusk leap off the deck stairs trying to catch the fire flies. Their cute little faces batting at the bugs. I would rather use the money to go to my 2 ultimate places to visit. That is Alaska and the tropical rain forest.

Let's see...I love playing football with my brother every Thanksgiving, I love my mom making some kind of stew on Christmas Eve, I love having our tea and sweets on Christmas morning and then a big breakfast afterward, I love getting canaloni cooked for me by my dad every birthday, and I love getting an Easter basket every year (that's right I still get one as a 22 year old lol)
