Muffie keeps throwing up something that looks like foam about every two hours since last night. Anybody know what could be wrong with her? If she's still doing it tomorrow I guess I'll have to take her to the ER. She has to be getting dehydrated by now.

She should be seen by an ER vet now!! You said she's been throwing up since last night - do you mean over 24 hours? That's unbelievably dangerous for a cat!

It could be anything from poison, to something lodged in her throat, to disease. There's the possiblity that if you wait she could be dead by morning!

Please get her to a vet now. If she has vomited so severly and lost fluids she needs sub cus pronto. I hope you have an ER vet near you-

As soon as I can get her in a carrier I'm on my way. It's only about two miles away.

Paws crossed for your baby! I just went thru this about 3 hrs ago Linx ate some kind of bug that he had a reaction to, was real worried but he has stopped and vet said if he is the same for the next 2 hour he made it past the emergency its been 4 hours and no more vomiting but he is worn out poor baby! Scares like this really get to me, hugs to you and belly rubs to Muffie!

Thanks everyone. I just got back a few minutes ago and I had to leave her there so they could do some blood work, take x-rays and put her on an IV. I won't know anything for 12 hours. After the vet examined her she urinated all over the table. I guess she was just scared.

I'll let you know when I hear something.

I stop by the vets this morning and the Tec told me Muffie had a blockage in her colon. They gave her a couple ememas and that seem to help break it up. I called tonight and they said she wasn't throwing up anymore but they saw some blood in her urine. They added an antibiotic to her IV and I should be able to pick her up tomorrow after work.

Thanks everyone for all your help and good wishes.

No, you saved her life by responding to my post so quickly.

She looked so bad this morning and when I called tonight they told me that they couldn't get her to eat. That kinda has me worried. I know it's because shes scared. The Tec told that she tried to bite him twice. I have 8 cats and they were all born feral and none of them like to be around strangers.
