Best things about cats - ideas for non-cat lovers!!

Hi all,

Yayi & I belong to a local animal welfare org and we were tasked to come up with a poster about feral/stray cats (or cats in general) targeted to non-cat lovers. In our country, cats are treated like vermins. Usually, people would inhumanely treat them, catch them, torture them. Or if the cats are lucky, they'd just throw them to far-away places. We hope to come up with an informative poster about how ferals can help keep the (real vermins) rat population down, etc? That sort of thing!

A member at the org suggested that they keep the rat population down, and if they remove the cats, they remove the natural balance of nature. Another suggested that cats can heal. What else should we put in the poster? I was thinking of practical things so that people would better understand cats - especially cat haters.

Cats are our reach toward being self-sustaining, not needing anyone but ourself, but at the same time capable of giving large amounts of comfort and love.

they also stop the spreading of disease by keeping down the vermin.

If you're a dog lover and society did away with dogs since they see them as a "burden", how would you feel?

A cat lover feels the same about a cat! Rethink your decision! A life is a life, no matter what form it takes!
