Eponine's New Sister

Hi everyone!
As most of you know, I have been searching high and low for a little kitten to adopt. Well, today I found her!
I went to the Humane Society (as I have been doing every other day for the past 2 weeks) and went in the little room where you can play with all their kittens. Well, there were these two itty bitty balls of black fluff! Her sister was adopted yesterday (I got to meet her meowmy today when she was picking up my little girl's sister).
My new kitten is a 6-week-old long-haired (or will be long-haired once she is a little older; it's all just really fluffy now!) tuxedo kitty. Her current name is Donna, but I'll be renaming her, probably Cosette (another Les Mis character to go along with Eponine). I get to bring her home tomorrow (there is a 24-hour waiting period) and I am so excited!!! I probably won't sleep tonight!
I'll be sure to take photos of the little angel tomorrow and post them for y'all to see Eponine's new little sister!

You've read up on the proper way to make introductions, haven't you? My tip is to take the little one to the vet's ASAP, too, and get her tested for parasites, etc..

I am so happy for you and can't wait to see some pictures of this gorgeous little girl, she just sounds delightful. And I am sure you and your other beautiful cat will give it a very good home. Give her time to settle to the new little kitty and I am sure in time they will come best of friends. It took my eviecat a while to get used to our new kitty Molly and now she loves her and wouldn't be without her. If you need any tips feel free to pm me anytime!

Susan, when I first saw her, she reminded me a little of your Rosie Posey, with the black and white coloring. I'm so excited to have a tuxedo kitty
Thanks to this site, I have learned so much about bringing home a new kitten, setting up a sanctuary room, and keeping the 2 kitties separated and GRADUALLY introducing them to one another. I will keep you all updated and won't hesitate to ask questions!! Hehe.
I'll probably need to take a sleeping pill if I have any hope of sleeping tonight!!

Yes yes, put in an application to a local resue group for a white cat, Lilly! I heard back that they got my application yesterday and tried to reach someone but no one has answered or called back yet. Lilly is waiting at our local Petsmart to be adopted so I went to visit her twice today. Hopefully I will get some good news tomorrow. The waiting is killing me!
