In NJ there's a Six Flaggs Great Adventure with a Safari.

I just thought while driving through, let's say, the baboon section, where they are all over your car, what would happen if you suddenly had a .............................FLAT?

Oh boy! Well, one thing is for sure....I would be staying inside that car. Probably wait for the next group to come through and save me!!!

My siblings and I once took my niece to Great Adventure in NJ, and the safari section had gibbons. Your question reminded me of that trip. We gave the gibbons, who were all over the car, Oreo cookies (all we had in the car) through the cracked windows. They pulled the cookies apart, just like kids do, ate the icing, and then proceeded to push the cookie part through the grill on the front of the car. We were laughing at them, when all of a sudden I got a "purple snake" in my face. A giraffe had wandered over, and stuck her tongue through the cracked window! Talk about a shock. She ate the Oreos whole. Great nutrition, right?

We had to open the hood and clean out the mess once we were safely back in the parking lot.

I'd probably try driving on the flat, and if I had trouble, I'd just sit and wait for help.

My niece worked at a Safari park. Based on her stories of the things the animals did to cars, I would never drive myself through. I would take the paid tour that the park runs.

Monkeys love ripping off chrome, radio antennas, and anything else they can get their hand on.

I went on one of those in Canada a few years ago. We drove ourselves, but it was the park's car. Much better than risking mine.

About an hour from where I live is an animal park call Lake Tobias. You can take a safari ride on an old school bus with the top cut off. You go through some fields and forest, and see all sorts of deer and cattle. They come up to the bus because you are allowed to feed them. It's a lot of fun, with or without kids.

I wanted to add that since that guy got attacked by the chimp, I'd think twice about getting out of the car near any sort of monkey or primate.

Just for the record, this has never happened to me but I was thinking about it because my Dad had 2 flat tires within 2 weeks.

It was kinda supposed to be a funny thought thread, but, it's interesting how many of us actually have had experiences

Years ago, my sister brother and I went to Lion country safari in LA and while we were slowly driving and looking, we suddenly came upon a line of cars. When we got forward in line we found it was a Rino! He/she was smack dab in the middle of the front of the car. Cars had formed 2 lines and when the Rino would face ONE line the other line would zoom like crazy to get away from it. It just kept on standing there and swinging it's head back and forth! My Sister was so scared she almost cried. Nobody came to help eihter!

I, too, had a Rhino coming straight for the car I was in. Well even though the speed limit was 5 m/p/h I added a zero to that number, if you know what I mean.
