I don't know if this has been done before, but I was wondering how your cuties let you know it's time to get up??

This morning Waffle's wake up wasn't as bad as some I've had in the past. Today she came right up next to my head, sat down, and proceeded to purr very loudly. I opened one eye to look at her and then shut it again. Upon seeing this Waffle decided she needed to take more action and let out a single MEOW directed right at my face. This time she got me up and got the petting she wanted.

SOME mornings though she's relentless! She'll walk up and do the same sit down thing next to my head and go through that whole process. If I'm not ready to get up I'll just roll over and tell her to go away. Well if I do that and she's feeling persistent she'll simply walk around to the other side of me and again plop right down in front of my face and let out another MEOW. Now if this STILL doesn't work I usually end up with her on top of me and will get one solitary kiss saying "HEY LADY! IT'S TIME FOR SOME LOVING!!!!!"

It's cute those mornings when she does it at 9am, but when it's a day I get to sleep in and she's doing it at 7, that's another story!!!

Aw!! How cute!!

My Baylee is a lazy bum like me and likes to sleep in... Max doesn't wake us up but when he does wake up, he'll just leave quietly.
Good kitties.

Jasper will lay by my chest, then progress to laying on my arm (cutting of circulation), and if I pull the covers over my head, he plops on my head. This causes weird dreams and they wake me up. If all else fails, he goes to mom and yowls at her to get me up.

Jade (RB) would knock my clip-on lamp off so it would land on my head. Ouch!

Smokie (RB) would stare at me until I opened my eyes. If I knew she was there and kept my eyes shut, she would go to my head and pull and chew on my hair.

On one occasion I was sick and had already told Samsom (RB) that I would get up when I was d*** good and ready. I swear he sighed and curled up by my chest. I later awoke to Mom laughing and the pressure of kitty feet on my side (Iwas sleeping on my side). Almost all the cats were perched from my ankles to my ribs waiting for me to wake up and feed them. (Mom's arthritic hands make it hard for her to open cans so I am the official can opener here. )

Weekdays when the alarm goes off at 6am:

Snickers, who sleeps on my legs (he "hugs" them!), chirps and then walks up my bod & lays on me. He purrs & gives me kisses til I haul myself up.

Dusty & K.C. sleep on the pillows at the top of the bed. K.C. doesn't move, but Dusty puts her butt in my face & gives me drooly kisses.

Hammie & Zorro come running from wherever they've been plotting to take over the world, jump forcefully onto the bed, and take over Snickers & Dusty's love-a-thon.

Miss Jessie just stands in the hallway, waiting patiently for me to say, "HUNGRY?".

Weekends, I only sleep in like an hour extra, because it's hard to sleep past dawn, AND my babies don't like momma sleeping in... THEY WANT FOOD!

Plus for some reason, on weekends: the bed goes from "the best place to sleep" to "the wrestling mat".

Oh my, I was just thinking about this, bleary-eyed that I am. On weekdays I'm up at 5:30 am. As soon as my alarm goes off Obi comes in and starts purring at me to get up. Weekdays are not a problem. On weekends however . . . . Obi seems to think that there is some error . . . "why has the alarm not gone off?" He takes it upon himself to wake me. This morning he started whining at about 5:45 am. He doesn't go for the full meow, just a persistent whine. Then he starts jumping up onto the bed and purring in my ear, walking all over me, whining and generally making a nuisance of himself until I get up. I managed to ignore him until about 6:30, at which point I gave up and got out of bed. I suppose this prepares me for children . . . .?! PLEASE let me sleep in!!!!

At the kitty's beck and call
Adelaide and Tippy don't wake us up. Felicity does only if she really wants to go out and we haven't woken up yet - then she'll scratch at the carpet until we get out of bed (she never learned to miaow!).

Lily wants attention when she's awake. It's not food, she's free to get that whenever she wants - she just gets lonely. So if she's awake at 5.30 am, she'll sit on your head or knead at the top of your arm or neck with her perfectly sharpened claws until you can't stand it any longer!

Once you're awake, she's no longer lonely and clears off to play somewhere

Chloe likes to wake me up a full 45 minutes before my alarm goes off, which is set for 4:45 AM. She will generally sit next to my head and purr very loudly. If that doesn't work she walks on me. And if that doesn't work she starts knocking things over like my alarm clock, books, etc. She's fine once she has her breakfast (wet food). On the weekends I get up and feed her, then we both go back to sleep.

God bless furry little alarm clocks

Eponine generally makes her presence known about 2-3 minutes before my alarm is set to go off (0630). Since I sleep with a pillow over my head ,she burrows under the pillow and rubs her face against mine (Eppie kisses) and will start biting my face if I don't respond. On the weekends, when even THAT doesn't work, she'll normally give up, get under the covers with me, and curl up against me until I'm ready to get up and play hide and seek with her highness!

i sleep so soundly that they can't wake me up, even if they tried
- but they're always happy to see me get up - they come running into the room (that is, if they're not on the bed with me!) when Mouse was younger & still with us, i occasionally woke up with books & other things in the bed with me, which she had knocked off the headboard, trying to wake me - but no luck!

Yep same here, he never wakes me up early, nor does he start with LOUD noises until I am up. But if I sleep late, he walks on me, sits right near me and meows. He used to touch my face with his paw but stopped that.

He knows when I am leaving for work too and gets very quiet.

I heard that! Angel tries to wake me up starting at 6 am. I'm not a morning person and I'd rather not be disturbed on days I get to sleep in.

He comes into the room and meows. If that doesn't work, he will start walking on me. And, if that doesn't work he comes right up to my ear and lets out the loudest meow possible.

My little girl Cassidy will sleep with me as long as I want to.
It is the other two that will walk the entire legnth of me and if that doesn't work I get sandpaper kisses on my cheek until I burrow under the covers.

During the week when Villy hears my alarm go off she walks right up to my face and looks at me until I open my eyes, then she lets out a nice meow, wake up meomy, your alarm's going off! If I don't get up then she walks down to the end of the bed and pounces and bites my toes through the duvet!

At the weekend she alternates between walking and sitting on me and my boyfriend and meowing at us for her breakfast until I get up!

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
Once the alarm goes off Sophie jumps back up on the bed and walks over me to kiss my face.

And she's only just started to touch my face with her paw and gently retracts her claws against my cheek

Ebony does not usually wake us up anymore. But when she was real little and realy hungry she'd come in every morning promptly at 5:00am and start licking my face.
she's quite the silly girl.

Lilly on the other hand does not wake us up but she will sleep on the bed with us some nights and request headbutts.
