his eyes are open!!

the new kitten's eyes have opened today.

i wasnt expecting them to open for another week or so as he's only just a week old!

such a cute little thing. hopefully will have pictures up by end of the day.

it was such a shock as he was blind yesterday and now they are wide open. thought maybe being able to see would make him a little quieter but no, he still manages to be louder than Mav already!

does this mean he can hear too?

This site looks good and says the kitten's hearing develops between 6 and 17 days - so he probably is starting to hear well now.

thanks for that link. i think he's heavier and bigger than he's meant to be already. my mum thinks he's a changling and was swapped by fairies a few nights ago.

maybe if he can hear he'll shut up and let me sleep! lol

NIcky, that's just wonderful, the sweetest news. Sasha's eyes were still closed when I found him and his mama SiSi behind our lawnmower so many years ago. I'll never forget it!
