I AM VERY EXCITED TODAY!!

Nope, I did not get that job I wanted.
I was runner-up because they hired somebody who could start, like, yesterday, and all I wanted was 2 week's notice for a company that has been good to me. So there!

Nope, I did not get a raise.

Nope, we haven't found another house yet.

Nope, I haven't lost any inches
..but......today we are going at 1:00 to pick up our home gym!!! YAY!!!
We've wanted one for a long time. We both hate waiting in line at the gym and all that....so we asked Sasha if we could use "his room" and he said as long as the futon is still in there by the sunny window, that's cool.
I AM SO HAPPY!!
I'll be able to exercise whenever I want, at 2 a.m., or 8 pm, or any time!
I'll be able to go back and forth between sets and TCS!!! I want to get off my rump and out of this rut I've been in for months!

Sorry about the job, I am in complete sympathy, believe me, because that sounds like my world right now.
The home gym sounds awesome. Hope you both really like it. I think exercise always seems to work out better when you have a workout buddy, so to speak.

That's true. I tend to do better alone, less chatter, but that's just me. We won't get to work out together, as Eric's hours are almost opposite of mine, but I'll have NO EXCUSES for sluffing. NOT ONE EXCUSE NOW. We found it on Craig's List... an elderly gentleman just moved here from Montana and wouldn't be needing it, so all he wanted was a couple of hundred (for a $2000 unit) and it's tax refund money put to good use, I think.

ENGLAND... LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY!
E it was their loss for not hiring you!!!.

I'm pleased your excited about your home gym. I used to have a rowing machine, a bike and weighty things but the novelty wore off so i joined a gym.

Mind you i don't go there now like i should and it's only a 10 minute walk!!

Sasha is a very generous boy, no doubt! it is, after all, his room. I swear after Saba arrived and he wanted some peace from being pounced on, there's a sign on the door saying No Girlz Allowed.

Thanks for the comiseration on that job. I was pretty crushed. Where have all the professional ethics gone?? I mean really. 2 weeks!

Oops - sorry Sasha! I didn't read carefully enough and called you a Girl!

I gave 2 weeks notice once and was immediately terminated. It was company policy for anyone who works with money! I found out later (when I didn't get a tax form at the end of the year) that they took taxes out of our checks, but didn't PAY any to the government!!! They went out of business and I assume got in LOTS of trouble! HA!

Sorry you didn't get the job, but you deserve a better one!

I always go back and forth to my computer between sets! I mean... what do you do for two and a half minutes between every set, right? I also do that with TV too. Good luck with the new home gym!

Really! I've always thought that looked good to a new employer...sort of shows them you're dependable and won't turn around if you get another job and leave them without notice, either. Shows how much I know.
I'll say to you what I keep repeating to myself...surely something better will come along.

Oh, I envy you!!!

I wish I had my own home gym. Even though I'm pregnant, I still need to get rid of my extra pounds!

Too bad we don't live closer together....maybe you could motivate me!

Hopefully, I'll bounce back in another 3 weeks from this "morning sickness" and get off my rump!

Congrats to you and I hope you enjoy it!

aw thanks so much Cat. I think about you a lot and how you're doing down there.

So this is the unit. It's in the back of the truck heading home now. It also comes with free weights and other additions, like a rower. There are other modules, this pic was from Eric's cell. The seatback can fold down so you can do other exercises with the pulleys and weights while you're on your back or tummy. I am very excited!

At the kitty's beck and call
Ooh this looks exciting Eddie - have fun keeping fit.

They passed you up for the job? Are they nuts???? They clearly don't deserve you - somebody much more worthy of your talents will come along don't worry.

Some of us have a saying here- "you screw up- you move up"!!!

Sorry about the job.

I got my "raise" today-just look up the word puny in the dictionary and my raise is the definition!! I tell you the only thing it raised was my blood pressure

I had belonged to a gym 6 minutes away from work but hardly ever went.
I'm doing good so far on the treadmill. And we have free weights and the balance ball-Buy one of those if you don't have one.

Have fun!!
