Frodo is coming up on 6 months now and am close to getting him neutered. Any advice or info on what I can expect during this "trying time" for the little fella?

No, just that it is usually more trying for the cat owner than the cat being neutered. The males tend to bounce back quicker than the females do-

That's so true. Milo was up and wanting to be his active self a few hours after he came home from the vet after being neutered. Though I didn't let him do much wandering around until the next day.

When we went to pick up Frodo today after the "procedure"... wow... he wasn't a happy fella when we first saw him. He was "hissing" and "hissing" and looking mighty ferocious.

He soon recognized us and calmed down though and we took him home. He didn't seem to show any ill-effects once he was in our company... running around still and readjusting fine.

Waiting for the prescribed time before we feed him again.

So all went well.

There's no place like home
They are usually just happy to be home and away from "THE EVIL VET". Boys rebound so quickly that its probably hardest to keep them calm once home. I sometimes keep my highly active boys at the vets overnight so they can be confined to a cage, otherwise I pick them up the day of the surgery and let them sleep it off at home.

The vet gave Seamus extra dope after he was neutered. He was so mellow when he got home. Just fine the next day.
