Enough of my complaining!

I had a awful day today, but insted of venting about it, here is the only bright sides I could find.

I'm still alive.

The day isn't over, it could turn out to be good.

I have my sweet furbabies.

I had a crappy day yesterday. I didn't get the job I wanted, we didn't get the property we wanted, our electric bill is up 20%, the house is a mess, so I vented to Susie poor Susie!
So let me make up for all that negative energy and think about the bright side:

It's still sunny here in Seattle.

Saba and Sasha ran to greet me when I got home last night.

Eric gave me a spring bouquet of flowers because I was so upset.

I have all my faculties, my limbs, my eyesight.

I really am a fortunate person. Bad Eddie, bad girl, no biscuit.

Hey, here's to avoiding the negative waves and seeing the bright side!

I try to think good thoughts, hard as it sometimes is when you have a crappy, low-paying job and no apparent prospects for a better one and bills you can't pay.

1. We still have the house and food
2. The tribe is always so happy to see me, even when they are acting like cubs of the devil
3. And there's always friends at TheCatSite, so how cool is that?

Whenever I have a bad day, I think about whether to post about it in TCS or not!
But yes, I think about good things like my babies, my family and how they're always there for me. I tell myself that the Higher Power is giving me the strength and backup to survive the day and I believe He does!

Whenever I have a bad day and right now work is just nutty. My coworkers think I am there to clean up all their mess and they keep dumping it on my desk. I am so behind on my work. All right no whining this is a positive thread. I come home vent to my husband who nods and tells me I am great then get into my kitten petting chair and the kids line up for lovings. They are always up for comforting me. Then I get my scrapbooks out and look at some of the best days of my life and all my pretty artwork and can't help but feel happy. I just know my higher power doesn't give my more than I can handle. More than I can control so I have to take what is mine and leave the rest.

Hi, this thread is a great idea. Well, to answer your question.

1. I try to list and count my blessings, such as, a loving (if sometimes annoying!) spouse, cat, and kids

2. That we have enough money to eat, pay the bills and live comfortably, even if we don't have EVERYTHING that we want...

3. That even though we are getting older and not making the best choices with a healthy lifestyle (I am MUCH too fat and hub is heavy and SMOKES too ) we are still in reasonably good health

4. That I finally got the courage to put my foot down and stop allowing my father to disrupt my life and use me even if he never speaks to me again.

5. That Jesus died for me and loves me and that God has a plan for my life even if I don't always follow His directions.

6. That I have peace in my life at last even though the daily annoyances sometimes get me down.

7. That I found this forum and have made many dear cyber friends who care about me, even if I never meet them face to face in this world.

8. If I feel overwhelmed or need support, I can always start a thread here and my kind cat friends will answer me, support me and give me ideas on how to cope if I can't figure out an answer for myself or need feed back on the answer I have come up with.


That is my list of thankfuls, and when I am feeling down or upset, I try to go over it and remember how blessed I am, and put the trial of the moment in perspective. Hope it helps a little. Hugs to you and hope that you have a better day tomorrow.

Today wasn't so hot for me. Spent 3 hours on the phone explaining things over and over again to the same person and missed lunch, but the good thing? I got them to finally sign their contract! YAY!!!!!!!!!!

Like everyone said, way to go for finding the bright side!

Real quick for me... last night I was sick. Not sure why but let's just say I was really sick. And even today I'm still not 100%. But the bright side is... I can take a sick day in good conscious, on a day that happens to be my fiance's day off and take it easy.

I didn't catch this thread yesterday, wish I had! I'll just have to explain why it took my mom and me an hour to get from my house to work.....a 15 min drive, tops! Mom picked me up yesterday morning, we drove to the store, only to find out that neither one of us had our keys with us! I turned around and went back home to get mine, and drove back.......started the day off on a real nice note! The bright side? I started laughing my @$$ off every time I thought about it yesterday, it just struck me as hilarious!
