I'm probably not making sense here.
i think it's because of the reflection...

Photo number 3 would be my favourite for entry to a competition. Something has clearly caught their attention. It doesn't look staged at all. It looks like you have crept up on them at the window and captured them. It's also a powerful image because (for me at least) it makes me wonder what on earth they could be looking at.
she has a way with words - these are the reasons i like number 3 best, as well - makes me want to see what they're looking at!

I choose the third one.. It is said that compositions are most beautiful if they have an odd number of objects in their arrangements. It is considered bad luck to have even numbers of flowers or things in composition, especially at weddings.

Well I just realized that I was mistaken. This wasn't one of the set subject competitions.......it was one of the set subject "projects" which means that it's simply an exercise to get us to practice certain ideas.

Oh well......and here I was all hyped up to finally enter a competition. I was actually gonna do it this time.
The comptetition this month is "hands" and I'm sure that means human hands. I'll have to get busy and see if I can find any cool hands to take pictures of. I wish I could take my camera to work. I'm sure I could get lots of "hand" pictures at the hospital. (doctors doing things to patients, nurses taking care of patients, old hands, young hands, etc)

I have a particularly disturbing one of hands, lol.. It was a picture for part of a school project.. I filled my hands with rspberry syrup while hiolding them over the sink, and had it auto shoot them.. Gray scaled and chroma tinted the syrup a deep red.. lol I though it was the best thing ever, but it's a bit awful to look at.

Picture #1 hands down. Even though the images are a bit muted because the reflection of the colors really adds a lot to the picture I think

They're all beautiful photos but I thought #1 was the most stunning -- the way the cats were framed in the window, the way they were posed. Also, I liked the blurred bits of reflected color in the window (you can see some amount of this in all the photos but I felt the reflected color was more vibrant and interesting than in the other ones).

Loving my beautiful baby girl
I've been sitting here for the longest time looking at your pictures, and I'm just having such a difficult time choosing between 1 and 3, I really wish you could submit them all! 3 is wonderful because it shows something that someone may actually see when walking up to a window as opposed to perfectly posed, they are just being natural and have their eye on something really interesting! 1 is just fantastic! Your gorgeous babies are so relaxed and look as if they were born to be stars! Excellent photography, Robin!

Well, it definitely is good practice for your photography even if you can't enter them this time around! (For the record, I went with #3).

Good luck with the "hands" set.
