I love and care for my 2000 Toyota Celica.

I bought it on my 30th birthday after searching for the one I wanted. It's great on gas, fast "enough" so that I don't kill myself, FUN to drive, handles great, and looks awesome. I get LOTS of compliments on it!

It's not meant for tall people, however. Kids fit fine in the backseat & a short person fits snugly in the front.

My ex-boyfriend has the same car. However, he leased it when he didn't have the money for it and ended up not being able to pay for college for that semester because of it. THEN, he wanted me to be excited about it. PLEASE. Now it has damage from the hurricanes we had here this year (he still works for my dad so 3 years after our split I still see him) and other damage from when he got hit, and he's STILL PAYING these RIDICULOUS monthly fees. He's now been in college for 5 years and still does not have his AA bc of not being able to afford semesters on ocassion. He used to make me sit in the backseat sometimes and EVERY SINGLE TIME (since I'm a fairly tall girl) I would LITERALLY get stuck. Oh it was so frustrating. My foot was always stuck underneath the front seat and my head was always bumping the ceiling. Thanks to him I have a grudge against Celicas.
Sorry for that rant I just can't help but remember my frustration everytime I see one or hear about one. Interesting how past incidences can jade your whole view of something eh?

I'm glad you like yours though. I don't actually have a problem with them as a car, just my personal experience with an ex who doesn't know how to prioritize and his Celica!

I currently drive a 2002 Mini Cooper S, indi blue/white top with sun roof. Love it, loads of fun to drive
The husband drives a 2001 Audi TT Roadster. He absolutely loves it, says he had forgotten how much fun driving could be.

First new car I ever picked out and bought myself was an '85 Toyota Celica - a burgundy hatchback. It was a great car and that hatchback could hold a ton of stuff. We once fit my husband's entire drumkit back there (bass, 2 floor toms, snare, cymbals, stands, etc. - all in their cases). Drove that car 'til it keeled over.

A glorious old lady of a Subaru Legacy 4 door - maroon with silver seats, auto locks, auto windows, cruise control and air conditioning...and made in 1990
Over 160,000 miles and still running well, when it's time, I will get another Subaru..this one has made me a fan for life as I bought her used with over 110,000.

Body is in very good condition, and it still cuts a nice figure when washed and polished up

DH has a Chevy S-10 extended Cab truck that he adores, from 1994.

I drive a Maroon 2002 Buick Rendevous, which is currently in the shop. Evidently one of the computers went out in the car. $500 bucks this far on repairs and the guy said he may have to replace the starter as well another $300. I love my car but it's not even three years old and already having problems.
That does not make me very happy. Of course I do have 50K miles on it, I'm hoping to make it last another 100,000 miles at least but well see if the repairs already are any indication of what kind of car it's going to be I may be getting rid of it sooner than later.

At any rate I think it's pretty, I really do need to get a picture of it though.

DH drives a Dodge Ram Quad Cab something or other... I think it is a 2001 - it's paid off. I have Jeep that barely has any mileage on it but we paid it off so it is our "spare" because I just went out and bought a Ford Expedition - which I LOVE LOVE LOVE!

We never lease. I would never be without three vehicles again. When something goes up, there is always a spare.

1989 Toyota Corolla sedan -- white. I don't need to post a picture -- it was a large litter, and if you watch any street corner for 35 seconds, one will probably drive by -- probably a white one.

Sheba's a good girl. 265,000 Km, and still running the original clutch.
