If you haven't seen the show and don't want the ending spoiled, don't read any further...It will be airing again on Animal Planet on Saturday, March 12 at 10pm ET

While I did enjoy seeing the special relationship between the baby antelope and the lioness, that was a very hard thing for an animal lover to watch. The whole show just broke my heart, watching the lioness and baby antelope starve, and the horrible end of the baby's life. Did they really have to show the graphic ending of the baby antelope? They had to know that the show would be primarily watched by soft hearted animal lovers. I was actually shocked that they showed the baby that we watched thru the whole episode being eaten!!!!!

People who make documentaries like to "keep it real". I hate it, too. What bothers me is that if the filmmakers were to step into situations like this they could save so many creatures, but they can't do it. I know they aren't allowed to help, but still... Those filmmakers must have one of the hardest jobs on the planet.

yeah, I realize it must be hard for the filmmakers not to intervene. I just wish that they would've edited it a bit.
