Well Piper and Loki got along ok (no fighting or hissing), just could not get her past being afraid of him (she would shake, hide and always check around)- not a happy little lady. God only knows what happened to her in the past to make her feel this way. All he wanted to do is play (ok bengals can be extreme) but he is such a gentle soul - he hurts himself more than anything else by flying into walls, banging his head on the iron rail, etc. but he just shakes it off and off he goes again.

Anyway brought her to Mom & Dad this Saturday. Boy she complained the whole way there but is now the happiest camper alive (Queen bee) - she follows my Mom everywhere. Just got off the phone with her - she asked if I was sure whether she doesn't have a mutant doggie gene in her (hehehehe). She even helped Mom make the bed this morning - just like Loki. My dad dotes over her! Mom and Dad needed to have someone to fuzz over and she needed to be fuzzed over - a wonderful fit don't you think?!?!?!

Loki keeps looking for her but it is definitely better for her - I do miss her terribly - but since I have visiting rights (they only live 45 minutes away from me) it's OK then. I'll be visiting this Saturday.

Again thanks sooooooooooo much for everything you have done for us!!! I do hope my experience also helped others on this board.

I am sorry that Piper was so unhappy, but am thrilled that she is doing so well with your parents. So...I guess it worked out well in the long run.

So....

I am so happy for Piper that she has such a great home! Sounds like your parents are taking extra special care of her!!!!

I know it's hard. I had to do the same thing for one of my cats not very long ago. I still miss her, but I know that her new family loves her very much. She is also free to roam her new home without fear of being attacked by another cat. It is hard on us, but it is much better for them to live a happy life

Debby - Yes I meant fussed - I live for spell check!

Lotsocats/Sandie: It is both, but you should see my Parents. My father who never misses BBC news, it's sort of a religious thing with him, hasn't watched it since she came to stay. Mom is constantly laughing. I don't remember when I saw them this happy. ( Ithink I have been replaced - heheheheheh) Here you can see the power of cats!!!

I do miss her terribly (I cried for days before I brought her to my parents), but I could not let her live this way - that was not fair - and since my parents just jumped at the idea of taking her in and making her the only cat I just could not pass it up. That way I knew for sure she would have a great home where she can be happy and I could visit as often as I liked. So it's like she almost did not leave and I get daily reports.

Again thanks all soooooo much!
