Hi My name is jess, and my cat is sophe.
She is soon 9 months and she have two colors, from the
heart of the eye it si black, the pupill(spelling??)and after that it comes green and then orange.
It has been the way for some time as long as I can remember.
I dont think it does any harm to her but I was wondering if it is commen for cats to have more then 1 color in there eyes?
Would be very happy to get some answer on this one.

I have a feral Manx and she has one blue eye and one green. She was born that way and she has stayed that way. She is quite unique and will be 9 years old in May. Her momma brought me her kittens when they were first-born.There were 8 of them- 6 were Manx. Because they are feral, there are only 3 of the litter left. I miss all of Cle's brothers and sisters, but they are definitely not house cats!

Jess....none of my cats have two colors in one eye! That must be rare!!! She sounds beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!! You should send us a picture! Maybe some of the other members here have heard of the eyes like that, but I have not.

It is possible but somewhat rare. Just make sure it is not a brown to dark spots. There is something that affects the eyes like that but from what you descibe, it is just the natural coloring. It sounds like you got very lucky, you should show her in cats shows!!

....hi again, I am sorry to say (for some people) that she is a Moggy, and I am not sure how to deal with cat shows and when it is with Moggy's, not that she is not good looking but you guys know what I mean dont you!!!
but I will send the best photo on her when the colores show's, sometime is not perrrrfuect but other times I can see very clearly the colores, it's the pupil and then green and then orange, and it depends if the pupil is in or out as well.
but I will try to send a good pic, or you can go to my web site and have a look

Hi Jess,

In the States as well as here in Israel, mixed breeds (moggies) can be shown in cat shows. Sandie here can tell you about all the titles her mixed-breed cats won in shows. Check it out - you may be able to do the same in England.

By the way, I checked out your web page and she is a very special cat. I would advise you to spay her soon and not look for a male. There are far too many homeless cats and you really don't want to add to the problem. It's also better for her healthwise to be spayed before she goes into heat.

If you need more info about spaying and why it should be done - read this article:

I just really liked that particular picture of Sophie and I didnt see it at the link. As for showing her, you just need to find out what associations there are there. I know TICA is big and they have household pet entries.Let me know which associations you have out there and I will be glad to walk you through the whole thing!!

Okay, cat associations or fancies are the people who put cat shows on. They all have individual clubs that put shows on. I did some research and found one association that might be in your area. I am going to put the link here and you can let me know if this is where you live. Then we can go from there. I think you may enjoy taking her to a show!!

Showing a cat can be very fun. I show my pure bred cats but I also take most of my domestic cats as well. When you take a cat to a show for the first time, it is a good idea to get in contact with the person who is putting the show on. They may be able to put you in touch with an experienced show person that can be with you for the show. It may even be a good idea to go to one before entering a cat. The basics are first you register your cat with that association. Then when a show is coming up, you send in a registration form to enter your cat. There are lots of things you will need. Something to cover the cage, your grooming supplies then make sure you have food, water and litter. Its hard to say because I am not familiar with the association you have there. I am sure someone will answer whatever questions you asked. TICA is a big one here and the closest show to you is in France. I know how those shows work. When you get some info from that one place, let me know and ask if you have a specific question.

I was just wondering the same for my kittens, I have 4 from 1 litter that I rescued after some jerk threw them from a truck. anyhow, my cats eyes are colored like a bullseye, so black, then green ring then gold ring then the white part. its so pretty!! also their eyes are almost entirely round, almost no slit shape at all
