Ok folks, what's for dinner this evening? Usually I go out for Sunday dinner with my best friend, but since he upped and moved to Atlanta last week, I guess I am cooking tonight.

Sunday is the one day of the week I don't cook!
So I'll be heating up some left over veggie beef soup and will have ham and cheese on a whole whaet pita with it.

I have a ripe mango, and I think it's going to form part of something with garlic prawns and sugar snap peas served over rice. It's busy formulating itself in the back of my head -- I don't need to do anything about it for another three hours or so.

Oooh I'm cooking again (everyone be proud)! Teriyaki chicken with a teriyaki pasta side. The chicken is the kind that comes already spiced and you just need to stick in the oven, the pasta is similar, just follow the directions (mix, boil, voila!). I hope it turns out good.. either way, I should deserve the A for effort!

Movin' on up!
I have chile verde simmering in the crock pot: boneless pork loin, green poblano chiles, onion and a "secret blend" of herbs and spices. It will be served with warm flour tortillas and frijoles refritos.

You won't get THIS at Taco Bell!

i had started to make a carbonara dish but with cream.
As i was cooking onions, mushrooms and bacon. bf said STOP!!!!!!!!!!
cook the pasta tomorrow and add those potato things that are in the fridge before they go off

So i added them in and i baked 2 potatoes In the microwave coz it tastes soo good and its much quicker than oven potatoes.and with a potatoe dressing over it

SP? is it potatoes or potato?

We had veggie lunch meat slices by SmartLife with provolone cheese, lettuce and Italian dressing in whole wheat pita pockets. Later for desert I'm having Vanilla Bean ice cream.

Ohhh.... That sounds yummmmmmmy!!!!!! Can you PM me w/ the recipe??

I just fixed steak and potatoes. I'd never fixed steak before, so this was a learned experience. My broiler got WAY too hot and "medium rare" ended up "well done".
But it was yummy, and something other than chicken. hehe

There's no place like home
Hubby is cooking tonight: Lemon pepper chicken smoked on the grill with some sort of vegetable as a side. I made a cake this afternoon for dessert.

19 minutes until dinner here!

Oh, you genius! I always forget I even own a crock pot! Obviously too late for tonight, but tomorrow's another day.
