Today - Lily decided to help Daddy with DIY - he was trying to figure out how to construct a chest of drawers and clearly needed a little assistance

Here dad - read the instructions!

That's better - now which bit do we need next?

I'll get it - I think it's in this bag:

This is the one!

I'd love to post more but soon after she scattered the bits all over the floor, she decided that chasing her big sister up the stairs was more fun
and disappeared to thunder up and down the stairs with Tippy.

Aw she's so teeny! She looks very sleek - would you say she's soft, compared to your other cats?

Ari do you mean soft in that her fur is soft or soft-natured?

Good thing she got distracted or you would have had pegs and screws all over the place

Loving my beautiful baby girl
Oh, Lily, you're adorable! How sweet of you to help your Daddy construct his chest of drawers, how would he ever manage without your expertise! Fantastic shots, Beth!

Ari - yes she's soft-natured! her fur is soft too - but not fluffy. It's really soft underneath on her tummy and at the top of her legs; on her back it's sleek but soft. The little bit just behind her ears is just right for burying your face in - good job she likes it!

Chris - we did have pegs and screws all over the place - we were hunting them under the sofa, stuck to sticky tape on the carton, under the rug.......

Thanks Stephanie - she also managed to help him build the wardrobe yesterday - particularly pointing out which screw to use next by sending it skidding halfway across the bedroom

Aw! Baylee looks "sleek" like Lily, and she is, but her fur isn't soft like I guess Lily's is! What a pretty girl you have there!

As usual Lily is just beautiful. What does DIY mean? I has been on the net for years, but I don't understand what half of the shortcuts mean.

Must be another English expression! DIY = Do It Yourself; in other words doing home improvements yourself or putting together self-assembly furniture etc.

Oh believe me, Daddy appreciates anything Lily does. She could have scattered those pegs and screws all over the house and he'd have thought it was cute. Daddy is besotted
. Lily gets away with more than I do!

LOL So she's daddy's little girl, huh?
What breed is she? She looks like an Abisynian (sp), maybe...?

To be honest - she knows she's the centre of attention in the house. But she has a winning way. Every morning she's greeted with a kiss from Tippy - this is the cat who has never made friends with another feline before; it's lovely to see.

She's a Singapura - they do look very similar to Abyssinians - but are a lot smaller.

Lily says thanks to Leosmum, Tina and Robin.

Awwww Lily's a great little helper!

When you mention Lily and Tippy giving each other a kiss, i got a couple of shots of Rosie and Sophie the other day doing the same thing. They were obviously just sniffing each others noses but i call it kissing as well and everytime i wished i had my camera handy, but thankfully i did this time
