I am not sure if any of you all have seen this yet, but it is "The Notebook"..It was one of the best romances I have seen since Titanic!...I give it a complete thumbs up!!!

I've heard of it and it was considered a sleeper-hit... something people didn't see too much in the theater but will rent / buy the heck out of.

I really want to see it!

Lisa rente it on Valentine's Day, and I thought, " Oh great, a chick flick..." But I was impressed! It wasn't typical syrupy stuff, and I shed some tears.

An interesting fact for us Canadians: Notebook stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams were both born in the same hospital in London, Ontario.

Director Nick Cassavetes was directing his mother, Gena Rowlands.

My favourite quote: YOUNG NOAH "Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing."

Which book did you read? Because I read The Notebook and found myself a bit disappointed, although I don't remember why.

And I usually prefer a book over a movie so that surprised me!

I rented the DVD this past weekend!!! I really liked it. The acting was just awesome and the storyline very touching. I liked Titanic better, mainly because, there was stuff breaking apart and the sinking ship & it had bad guys in it. The Notebook was a bit too fluffy & sappy for my taste, but nonetheless, great movie.
