Well it's offical Isaac, has dirreha, and Levi is right on the edge.
So that can only mean one thing. No dinner tonight. Jordan seems OK, but at this point isn't intrested in food (for now that's a good thing) remind me again what the protocol for diarreha is? It's been a while & I forget if I'm supposed to do something else. I really really hope this isn't a food issue,
I've been through so many foods trying to find something that they will all eat, but not make them sick. I may be at the point where only the perscription food will work, but Isaac is almost 1 & Levi & Jordan are almost 2, so they seem so young to have these problems.

Keep an eye on them so they don't dehydrate. (Do the skin pinch-test, remember?) Try and get them to drink water, though I have no idea how to do that with a cat.

Are your cats related? It could be something genetic, where they all have the same allergy or weak stomach. Have you ever had them tested for Giardia? That would be the easy fix.
I know what you're going through, Hans sometimes get boughts of diareah and vomiting, and we're still trying to figure out why. (All the vet can say right now is that it's probably stress-related.)

If you withhold food, you need to be sure the cat is getting fluids. They lose a lot of fluids with diarrhea, and so be on the lookout for dehydration. Pedialyte is good to give during this time as is plain yogurt with active cultures-

My Dunkin had the diarrhea for a good while I figured it was the dry food, so I changed from 1 to another 3 times, finally ended up with Hill's dry kitten food he still had it bad, I took him to the vet, 3 weeks of treatment and 2 trips to the vet with antibotics and stuff for the diarrehea, and vitamins he is getting much better, but the Vet told me not to give him canned food, he said it's full of ground bone and stuff, that's hard because he loves to eat, I have been feeding him baby food, just chicken, can someone tell me what canned food doesn't have a bunch of junk in it? I want to find something that he will Love & eat and have it not be bad for him. Although he hasen't lost an inch he now weighs 13.4 lbs, it's hard when there are so many differant kinds, becasue he does not like the iams, sience diet canned food, I didn't think those had junk in them but there so bland...

No the boys are not related, but I've been through this with Levi before, but I believe his was food related. They haven't been tested for Giardia, but Levi was fine this morning & Isaac was just sort of having problems, but I fed them last night & then again this morning. I also think Isaac licked out my measuring spoon I had used for Milk yesterday, so I think that skipping food tonight will take care of it. I remember dehydration check all too well (2 years of caring for a cat with CRF) So I'm going to try to get some sleep tonight (hopefully Jordan won't be too destructive) & feed them in the morning.

Just dont buy anything that has the word "meal" in the ingrediants. Like "chicken meal" meal means that it is made of by products (like bone) and not actual meat. I buy trader joes canned food. It has the same ingrediants as the MOST expensive canned foods at pet stores but it's only 43 cents a can! Either that or give your cats fresh boiled meat (no bone if it's cooked) with vitamin suppliments. You can get the suppliments from Jefferspet.com it's called wild trax feline suppliment. I am going to buy some and start feeding my cats fresh boiled chicken and liver. It's cheaper and better for them that way.

Two of mine were having mild diarrhea and I thought maybe it was giardia, as I hadn't changed the food. But a fecal test came back with roundworms as the cause. I treated all three cats and it all cleared up in two days. I was surprised as they were only treated in December, but it can happen.
