My friend's cat, Bubbles, is in the hospital right now and she's not sure if he's going to live.
She took him in last night after work because he wasn't moving around; not acting like himself. His temperature was quite low and he was dehydrated. They wanted to do blood work but had to wait until he was stable. He was finally stable enough this afternoon, so they did the blood work and she finds out the results tomorrow. She's a wreck and it's been hard on me as well as her and I shared an appartment for a year and I got to know her two kitts. He's the most lovey of the two, such a sweet boy.

Please, if you can spare some vibes and prayers, can you send them his way?? I've seen what board magic can do, and I really hope it works here.

Here's a picture of Bubbles:

Looks like Bubbles has something going on with his kidneys.
I don't know what it is yet, as all they've done so far is the blood work. I think they are going to do more tests and the vet will give my friend a call tomorrow and let her know what's going on (he's staying there again tonight). I'm going to call her tomorrow afternoon and see what the vet said; I'll let you know what I find out.

How old is Bubbles? (He is beautiful!!) If he has CRF (chronic renal failure) it is not a death sentence. It can be treated. My Beau has CRF, and I get a lot of information and support from the CRF Yahoo group, and I recomend it highly. There are also two very good CRF webpages on the internet. Take heart. Many cats live for years with CRF, if that is indeed what he has.
Good luck. Let us know how he is.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and vibes. There's still no news, the vet hasn't called my friend like she said she would.
They're not open today, but my friend did call a few times but got the voice mail. I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to see how he is and what's going on.

D'Elle and Beau: Bubbles is about 5 years old. If it ends up that he has CRF, I'll be sure to let her know that it's not the end of the world.
