Hello.
Recently, laying my bare arms on my desk has resulted in a rash developing....just one more WEIRD thing to add to my allergy/irritant list. That made me wonder...does anyone else have weird (or any) allergies? Here are some of mine:
sun (gives me hives)
apples
melon (and I LOVE watermelon and cantaloupe!)
bananas
plums
carrots
celery (all the food ones only apply to RAW foods, because whatever I'm allergic to is broken down by cooking)
yellow-faced hornets
grass
certain trees
RAGWEED (to the point where during my scratch test, the allergist saw the ragweed response and made a
face lol)

Those are the big ones...luckily for me, they're not life-threatening (except potentially hornets, have the epi pen, but doubt I'll need it) so I still eat yummy fruits on occasion, as long as I have antihistamines handy!

So, what about you guys?

my hands become very very itchy from peeling potatoes.
Does this mean im having an allergy towards it?
Skim milk also makes me go itchy and throw up

The sun although i love it gives me white lumps, i once faited from the sun because it was burning my head. (i have very dark hair)

Penicillin-which can be inherited-my mom reacted terribly to it!!
Ragweed
Some raw fruit-I think its actually the pesticides or coating sometime on the fruit-usually melons.

I've never been tested for allergies, but I swear something is in the air now!! I've been sniffling and sneezing like crazy!! It's annoying! I feel for all of you who are allergy sufferers!!

It's something IN the fruit itself for me....the allergist said the fruits I'm allergic to are common with my other environmental allergies.

Oh Leli, it stinks that you're allergic to so many great foods
My only known allergy is to the medicine sulfa, though I have some as-yet undiagnosed environmental allergies (ragweed or pollen or something like that).

I was actually never tested to see if I was allergic to Penicillin, they just gave it to me when I was an infant with a high fever and I blew up like a balloon.

Don't feel bad I'm also allergic to a bunch of stuff. Penicillian, Sulfa, all anti-inflamitories (advil, ibuprofin, ect), several muscle relaxers and pain meds, bee stings, grass, milk, sea food, pollen and dust. I wouldn't really say I'm allergic to all meat but everytime I've tried to eat meat of any kind I vomit immediately.

If you can inhale it, I'm allergic to it. Dust, mold, pollen, animal dander, you name it. I'm seriously allergic to Ragweed too. On the back test they had to retest about 4 or 6 of them because the ragweed welt overtook everything around it! (Can't remember exactly, I was tested when I was a kid.) I got allergy shots for many years, and now I'm at least able to function.

I was allergic to the sun when I was kid, but thankfully I grew out of that.

Everything in the onion family, but eat them anyway sometimes and then pay for it
My skin is super sensitive, and I'm allergic to most every soap, lotion, detergent, etc...

I have always had a penicillin allery, and when I was in my twenties I developed reactions to organic enzyme detergents like Ariel. I also cannot use perfumed soaps or deodorants. And my ears swell up if I try to use earrings that are not pure gold, silver or stainless steel. But luckily I have never had animal or hayfever type allergies.

My daughter suffers very badly from eczema on her hands and body, and though we know she has a nickel allergy, the doctors can't find what else is causing it.
