When i clean the bathroom I use a cleanser containing bleach, also I pour a capful in the drain hole. I noticed my older cat will then come sniffing around in there and sit on the floor. ( no she doesn't have acess to it to drink it ) Shes attracted to the bleach odor. ANyone else notice this or any other odd attractions?

YUP.

One of my cats couldn't care less, but the youngest (two yrs) will rub, rub, rub, and of course purrrr like a CAT Diesel when I have the slightest hint of bleach or pool chlorine on my hands. Which is often, I use bleach in the house like crazy (it's the best oxidizer on the market).

And yes, I keep the actual product far from my critters.

yes mine too. My girl loves bleach she even licks the tile after I clean with it. I think personally it does smell a lot like cat spray.

I think she's just trying to figure out what it is and where it is going.

There was a post about a cat who only liked to bury himself in the white clothes hamper. Residual bleach smell, perhaps?

My one cat, Joey, is attracted to bleach, if you can call it an attraction. He has been known to pee on clean laundry that has been bleached. I have to make sure I don't leave the bleached whites lying around in the laundry basket.

What is the attraction, I wonder? Is it like sniffing gas fumes to a human?

I don't know, but we clean the cages at work with a mixture of Clorox and Tide and when I get home my cats like like my hand was soaking in catnip (I do wash my hands after I clean cages).
