What I am doing must be real dangerous...

I just got done having lunch, but there was an interesting ocurrence.

As I got the lunch placed on the table while I served the soda I noticed that Planeta got herself on top of the table, right next to lunch. Some of the cats have done this before, when I serve some particular food in an attempt to eat it. But she didn't.

She just sat there with a blank stare towards the plate... almost like looking over it. I sat right next to her and started eating. I spent like half an hour eating. And she just sat there looking over me, ocassionally moving her head, but not even meowing. Just a blank stare. She would just stare at me, at the food.

I was starting to think "Hmm... is it that she put poison into the food and is trying to see what happens?" Either that, or she is supervising me to see if I am holding the fork correctly?

And as soon as I got done and cleared the table, she just cuddled up and went to sleep in the same corner where she had stood staring at me. She is still sleeping there.

Hmmm, was this possibly a polite way to beg??

I think she was trying to hypnotise you...look into my eyes, you will give me all of your foood!!!

Indeed! For she didn't scold me!

Jamie does that sometimes. If he wants something to eat, he'll beg or steal, but sometimes he seems to just want to "hang out" on the kitchen table, and watch what we're doing. I often read or correct tests at the kitchen table, so I think he's just keeping me company and meditating.
