I'm glad Martha is getting released. I've always thought she was ok and she's a huge animal lover, so she's ok in my eyes. I think there are far worse people than Martha Stewart.

I have always heard what a nasty witch she is to all around her.
I don't think she should've been able to further her business from behind bars.
What kind of punishment is that to go to jail and profit from it?
I personally think you can just see it in her eyes, she is not a nice person!

Maybe prison knocked a little 'people kindness' into her?

Just opinion, but I don't get that "nice" vibe from her, I get that "self serving, slit your throat and take your quilt" feeling. Besides, everyone knows prison just teachs people to be better crooks, so now she has had the chance to become "worse".

I'm glad Martha's out because she's got a very creative mind. But am I upset that she was sent to prison in the first place? No. She committed a crime and she did her time, as anyone committed of a crime should. Guess that's the criminal justice education in me coming out. Plus, I bet a certain prison in West Virginia has prettier curtains and a more appetizing menu now

I have also heard she wasn't nice to people around her, but that doesn't really have anything to do with this. She served her time and wasn't a winer even though a witness who testified against her was convicted of perjury. Imagine if the appeal finds her not guilty.

One nice thing about her leaving prison has been the increase in her share prices. It has doubled compared to the day she entered. Sure that may have help her increase her value by about $500 million but for those who have some shares in her company...

All I can say about all of it is who cares!!!!!!

Lisa, I'm with you. She seems to really love all her pets. In my book, that makes her a good guy, even if she doesn't do very well with people.

Call me a real pushover (I've been called worse) but I saw on the news that a woman in prison made Martha a knitted poncho. She wore it when she left prison and brought it to work with her on her first day back. She explained the story of the poncho to her employees and how the woman wanted her to "wear it in good health". I just thought it was a nice gesture to tell "the world" about it. I know some people think she is a Bit** in real life but I don't get that feeling, I pick up something very nice and genuine about her. I think a lot of people put the Bit** label on women in power, whereas men are called "real go-getters" I am glad though that she is paying for her crime. What she did was plain stupid, considering she used to be a broker.

Very simple...she is a self made millionare that started from scratch...I'd have an attitude and low tolerance for stupid people too if I worked that hard all of my life.
I don't like her however, I just respect her. She really, in my eyes has not done something horribly wrong, and her scentence reflects that. She now needs to come back and do what she does best.
Stand in her faux kitchen with the creepy look on her face holding a knife.....just gives me the shivers.

Yaaaay MARTHA...I love her...I always wanted to be her when i was little...lmao...everything she has shes worked for......and i say good for her....
I think she falls under that category of strong, hard women who are labled a bi%@#....... Or maybe she really is as cruel as they say she is...But either way it doesnt change that she has brought herself from nothing to front page material.....Yaaaaay Martha!!!!!

I love Martha and I think it sucks that she had to serve time. It's weird how you can go to jail for something like that but then I know people who have had 3 DUI's and only spend 1 weekend in jail. She didn't endanger anyone, there are far worse criminals out there not getting punished at all.
