County looks to shelter pets from the storms

Burlington County, New Jersey, got a wake-up call during recent flooding: what happens to the animals who have lost their homes? A new program will recruit and train volunteers who can give shelter to house pets and livestock.

What a great idea - I hope that this article gets passed around. It is so true that people hate to leave their pets behind, often that's the only possession they want to save!! I should check with our local animal control & see what plan our county has, if any!!
