Cat Survives 10-Mile Trip Atop Car http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...at_s_road_trip

INKOM, Idaho - Torri Hutchinson's cat might just have one less life to live. Hutchison was driving along Interstate 15 one day recently when a motorist kept trying to get her attention and pointing to the roof of her car. She said she was wary of the man, but wondered if perhaps her ski rack might have come loose.

She pulled over to the side, but kept her doors locked and the motor running.

The man pulled up behind her. Hutchinson rolled down her window to hear the man frantically shouting, "Your cat! Your cat!"

He reached for the roof of her car and handed the shocked Hutchinson her orange tabby.

She had driven about 10 miles with the cat on top of the car, and didn't even notice the feline when she stopped for gas.

Hutchinson said Cuddle Bug, or C.B. for short, had climbed into the back of her car as she was getting ready to leave. She put him out, but he must have jumped on the roof while she wasn't looking, she said.

Oh, my gosh! 10 miles!! That poor cat! I know a man who had a cat get in the wheel well of his truck in Sacramento, who made it to Crowley Lake. He had a great attitude about it, said he'd always hated cats, and now he owned one!! He said any cat that could survive that trip, over I-80, through blizzard conditions earned a right to a good home. Thank you for sharing that great cat story!!

Thought I would share one of my cat's story with you. We adopted Buzz's brother OCyrus at 8 weeks but Buzz Lightyear stayed with his original owner. One day his original owner drove from her home to work which is about a 40 mile drive. She got to work and went about her day came out for lunch and heard this cat meowing after looking around she didn't find anything, she went to lunch and when she got back she still heard the cat meowing, a passing student lifted the hood of her car and found...Buzz, a little boy of about 12 weeks, hanging tightly to the battery, unharmed but I am sure a little shook up. Buzz stayed with his owner for another month then the owner accounced to her class that Buzz needed a home or he was off to the dog pound. How could I not take him? We always reminded of the time he tryed to hitch a ride and come live with his brother.

This reminded me of the time we were heading for vacation to Panama City Beach, Florida a few years back.
We went to pick up my daughter and opened the trunk to put in her suitcases and guess what pops out?
Mitzi!
If we hadn't opened that trunk she would've gone with us!
So then we had to run her home before we could leave, but it was quite a shock and kinda cute.

Not long ago, I was on my way to pick up my daughter from school and I cut through a subdivision as a short cut, I got to a stop sign and there was a mini van going down the street with a cat on top of it, I tried to get the drivers attention and so did another lady, she didnt hear us and kept on. The cat jumped off the roof of the van and ran into someones yard and I got out and caught it. It was so scared and luckily the other lady recognized the lady with the cat on the van as her neighbor and she took it back home with her. I was so glad she was there and the cat didnt get hurt. I'm guessing the cat was asleep on top of the van when she started out and didnt know what to do.
