I did! During my interview they asked how my desktop graphics skills were...you know, how do I handle invitations and graphics on work product that are a little creative? so for my thank you note, I used my own, which is navy paper cradling the very best cotton weave white paper and I did tell them I was very interested in the position, that I looked forward to moving forward with the company, and that "..regardless of who your next employee may be, it will be a great choice and I wish you the best of luck." I had it hand-delivered in a very quiet way to the CEO's desk. It's out of my hands now. I've done my very best and the rest is on them!Originally Posted by captiva

Well, it's Thursday night now and they said they would make a decision by Friday...I haven't heard anything. I have such great intuition and my gut is rarely wrong, but I have no clue on this one.

No news yet. Just a case of nerves, I mean the job market here is rotten.
R O T T E N. Seattle is #2 in unemployment in the country, we never really recovered from the downturn and dot.bombs and 9-11. Recovery is not really the word up here. When Boeing left here after 80 years, they took about 85,000 jobs with them. .....so when a good job comes along, it's just a feeding frenzy. People inflate resumes and outright lie and I had a friend use her mom to pose as a former employer just to pad her resume w/a great reference, and I thought oh yuk.
So I was just honest and tried to be myself. But here is what I am thinking: I may be on the short list.... I may indeed be a serious consideration, and yet if there are 3 candidates who are really, really good and 2 can start NOW because they aren't working (which is usually the case up here) then the employer would probably pick them, and not wait for me even with just a standard 2 weeks' notice.
