I know you're out there! I'm looking for a Danish pen-friend I can write to and practise Danish with. Someone who could put me right and help me learn a bit more (preferably without laughing at me!) I really need to get some practical experience with the language and frankly, my boyfriend isn't helping much. I don't think expletives are going to get me very far and even though I've asked him not to, he still insists that my accent is "cute" and worth laughing at and only ever tries to get me to say difficult tongue twisters and phrases I'm never going to use... So I'm looking for an outsider who can maybe be a bit more helpful than him
Please PM me if you're interested or you know of someone who can help... ta very muchly. Or rather... mange tak.

I know that feeling! Don't you jsut hate that? The Danes favourite for foreingers is "rødgrød med fløde" or something like that anyway.... in fact it's a dessert. WIth cream. The closest I could get to a translation is red-berry jelly with cream. Mind you, there are lots of other desserts out there you just can't get in the UK. I'm very partial to koldskål myself..... mmmmm
