I hope it is okay to post this here. All the no kill shelters are full. I'm trying to find a loving home for him.

He's adorable and smart. Trys to use doorknobs!

This little nutured boy is exceptionally smart!!
I recorded it on video when he repeatedly tried
to use the doorknob. Being so small he was
unsuccessful, of course. Amazing that he learned by
just watching us.

That's only one of his uncommon abilities.

The reason I am considering giving him up is because
he isn't happy being a strictly indoor cat. I found
him as a stray, tummy concave and ribs
protruding when you pet him in the street. Followed me
for 2 blocks! It turns out after I started really
petting, I realized he was starving because his
beautiful, med hair, fuzzy coat made him look like a
normal cuddly kitty. Took him in after Vet gave him a
clean bill of health.

Very sweet, even when we gave him a bath when he 1st
came home, he didn't attack us. We clip his nails when
he sleeps and he's okay with that. Has never scratched
us. Very gentle yet curious little boy. Isn't a cat
that likes to just lay around, even though he's 6.

He was a bit sad and always tried to open front doors when he was staying strictly indoors. I can see in his eyes everyday how he is longing to be outside by his soft meows and persistance at trying the door. Because of my schedule I can not provide an indoor/outdoor home. When he accidently escaped from the house, I saw how happy and fullfilled he seems. He would be wonderful for someone who can do that for him. I have another strictly indoors and she's happy about it. As for him, he's seen so much of
the outside world.

If you're interested in this adorable male, nutered,
cat, 6 years old, very atheletic cat that is best
being indoor/outdoor, email me. He would be wonderful
mouser cat, by the way. Loves to chase stuff!!

We love him a lot and will be interviewing potential
new homes.

Hi Poppy,

I am going to go out on a limb here and offer what some will think is an unconsciencable (sp) suggestion.

Why not try letting this nice kitty stay with you and be an indoor and outdoor kitty? I know you are not home much, but maybe you could set times which are acceptable. Say on weekends only, or for a few hours in the early morning or evenings. It could turn out to be a very agreeable arrangement for both of you, just be sure to leave out some kibbles and water.

This sounds like a grand solution! I had a cat who LOVED to be outside while I was a work, and then would come running up the drive to meet me when I returned. He was happy to be in at night to be fed and loved. Would something like this work where you live? Or, are you on busy streets, etc.?
