Loving my beautiful baby girl
That's great that your physiotherapist is near you now, Sarah, and that they are working together to find the best course of treatment! I know two precious little babies that will be perfect happy thoughts!

It is great, I am really pleased that I have finally found them!

I think you're right, Stephanie! I can think of two precious babies too, for my happy thoughts!

Better than a General Anaesthetic and knives though!
Sending you lots of calming and healing vibes!

I'm sending positive vibes your way, Sarah! Maybe they can give you a local anesthetic when they give you injections. I'm so sorry you're having problems!

Sarah - I'm so happy your hospital appointment was positive and not nearly as scary as you thought it was going to be.

Sorry you've got to have yucky injections, I'll be thinking calm and tranquil thoughts for you - sending them your way

Aw Sarah how did I miss this thread? Yikes, sorry for being such a bad friend! I'm sorry you have to deal with injections... just think of visiting me on a dinghy when you're getting them administered... that'll make you laugh and ignore what's going on!

Thank you Jenny,
I am going to take a look at the site in a minute! Anything is worth a try!

Thank you Kelly!

Thank you Beth,
I am pleased that it wasn't so scary too!! I had become so worked up about it!

Ari, thank you!
You're not a bad friend!
I will think of the dinghy, but I don't want to laugh too much, they may inject the wrong place and numb my whole leg!!

Thank you, Bobbie!

Sarah,I went to my doctor yesterday and I knew they were going to draw blood. When she came at me with the needle, I just kept talking to her,and it pinched ever so slightly when it went in, but then I was fine. I even actually looked at the blood filling the vile! I even thought about you when she was doing it! We can do all this together girl! I have to go for a catscan now to try and figure out where some pain I have is coming now! Yuck, an IV for that. Oh well, we do what we have to!

I was thinking of you yesterday, sending good vibes!

You go girl!
You even looked at the vile filling up!
I am so proud of you!
I think I will think of you when I have my injections! I will try to be as brave as you were! (VERY, in my opinion!) I am so pleased that it went so well!

We are definitely going to have to go through all this together!
When is your catscan? I will certainly send vibes for you!

My catscan is tentatively set up for Friday, the 18th. They are calling me today with the time. With all the medical technology they have today, why can't doctors just hook you up to some type of diagnostic machine and tell you exactly what is wrong with you!?? Same for pain. When we hurt, just give us a pill and make it all go away! When do you go back to the doc Sarah?

You're right there, Susie!
It would be so much better if they had a diagnosis machine!
They could also programme in the required treatment, click enter and then you are all fixed! Maybe we should invent one!

The thing is, my Consultant gave me a great pill to take away the pain, but it was recalled bacause it hadn't been fully tested (or something) and people were having heart attacks from it
Shame as it was working well for me

I am not sure when I am going back, it might be around Easter (two weeks) but I am awaiting a phone call from the Pain Specialist. My Consultant is speaking to him today to try to puch it along quicker!

So you have a little time before you have to go back too?! I really hope it goes well for you! What pain do you have? I didn't know! It is horrible when they can't seem to give you a firm answer when all you want to know is when it will go away!
I bet we won't even notice when it has disappeared, as it will be gradual!

I"ve had my pain for years Sar. It started in my lower left and now goes all the way up my left side and now across my back/shoulder blade area. My gyno has diagnosed me with endometreosis, and says the pain could be coming from that, but to be sure, he wanted me to go to my regular doctor and have her make sure my pains higher up aren't anything else. So, she's sending me for a catscan of around my kidney area to make sure there isn't a stone or anything.
I think a hystorectomy (sp?) is in my future, but he said he'd hate to do that and me still have my pains higher up.

Oh dear, that WOULD be bad!
Maybe just think of how much fun we would have if we got to hang out - all the stores we would visit and food we would eat!

You made me think of my daughter - I took her to our surgery where she was having a mole removed under local anaesthetic (we're a very moley family!). The doctor was about to inject her and said - you'll just feel a little scratch. She lay there waiting for it and suddenly the doctor yelled "ow" "ow ow" and started shaking his hand. He looked up and said "I've just anaesthetised my finger - excuse me a moment" and left the room. It's a good job he did because daughter and I just couldn't contain ourselves any longer - we were practically rolling with laughter after he left the room. Outside in the corridor you could hear him "owing" - which of course made us laugh even more.

Ha ha ha! No way! I'd be scared for him to do anything to me after that!

Oh, Susie, I din't realise! I hope that they find the pain, as you don't want to have an unnecessary (sp?) Hystorectomy
I am sure, like you say, there is somebody out there who knows exactly what to do
We will both find the people!

Thank you Rigel!

Ari, I think it would be better to think about hanging out, instead!! A lot safer!
It would be so much fun though!

Beth! Gosh that is so funny!
You don't expect doctors to do that sort of thing!
I don't think I could have contained myself either!
