hi all :) introducing myself and Adia

hi everyone! I'm Candace and my cat is Adia. I just adopted her from the local animal shelter a little over a month ago. She is approximately 3 years old and is a brown tabby mix with white 'socks' and chest. I love her!! I'm a grad student in Michigan where it's snowy and COOLD! I'm originally from Tennessee though.

So - i'm looking forward to posting here and getting to know people! Here is a picture of Adia.

Welcome Candace and Adia . You did a wonderful thing, adopting an older cat (who is really beautiful, btw) from a shelter. We need more people like you out there to rescue the older furbabies. Look forward to hearing more from you on TCS.

Thanks for such a warm and friendly welcome everyone!!! i think my Adia is beautiful too! she was a stray without a name, so i chose Adia because it means "gift" and because it's a song by my favorite singer Sarah McLachlan. hehe She is just the sweetest little cat - truly a gift.
I can't wait to get to know you all!

Hey and welcome! What a pretty cat... and soon as I saw her name I knew it had to be after that Sarah McLachlan song, which I think is so pretty! Adia is gorgeous, kinda reminds me of our cat Max with the mittens! Anyway, we're glad you're here!
