This morning, the cat whom we have adopted had a long stream of drool coming from his mouth and he's not acting like he feels too good! He came up to our house a couple of months ago and he's been a great friend and now I'm worried. What can the drool mean...I've never seen a cat drool before. Help!!

It could mean several things, illness, something caught in the throat, bad teeth or gum disease, rodent ulcers, something he ate, a fight he got in? He should be checked by a vet, any possibility of you capturing him and taking him in?

He did have a nasty scratch on his cheek over the weekend. I did manage to get him to come to me and I put a little Neosporin on it and it has now healed up. I really am worried about the drool though, I am at work today and have no way to get him to a vet. I appreciate your response tho.

He could have got into something toxic if he is still drooling when you get home I would get him to the vet, ASAP Linx got into sum rust on a BBQ and drooled so much I took him to the vet and he was dehydrated already from the drooling please keep us posted hugs to the furry!
